‘The Bills defense looked like it hadn’t learned its lesson in the first half against Washington. They gave up over 100 yards to 34-year-old running back Adrian Peterson and looked poised to give up another 200-plus yard game on the ground for the second straight week.’

Buffalo Bills Motoring in right direction: 9 reasons to be encouraged, 2 reasons to worry
‘Buffalo’s offense became very predictable in the second half of Sunday’s game. After a promising drive that resulted in a turnover on downs to start the second half, Buffalo’s offense stalled with a six-play drive and two three-and-outs. At one point, the boo birds came out at New Era Field.’
Buffalo Bills vs. Washington Week 9 report card: Sunday will be remembered as ‘The Devin Singletary Game’
‘This will be remembered as the Devin Singletary game. Singletary was outstanding on the ground in Buffalo’s win and had the biggest play of the day in the passing game when he took a screen pass 49 yards in the first half. He finished the game with 140 total yards and one score in the win.’
NFL Week 10 odds: Buffalo Bills open as underdog to two-win Cleveland Browns
‘SportsLine shared the NFL Week 10 opening lines and Buffalo is a 2.5 point underdog on the road according to Super Book USA.’
Rapid reaction: Bills squeak by with 15-point win over hapless Redskins; Defense shines, offense does not
‘Although they are leaps and bounds better than last season, Allen and company have failed to put distance between themselves and a few lowly teams which they have managed to barely squeak by this season. Moving forward, if this team hopes to be a playoff team and perhaps better, the Bills’ offense has to be better and that starts with Allen. He and John Brown have developed great chemistry in a short time together, but it is time for Allen to gain that level of trust with more than just one of his targets.’
Sullivan: Bills get another unspectacular win over overmatched foe
‘But that doesn’t mean critics have to apologize for wondering if the Bills are more than an average team. We needn’t apologize for sitting through another desultory performance against an NFL bottom-feeder and asking if they’re as good as their record, or if they’re more than an average team.’
Singletary carries Bills to victory
‘While Gore was awful, the epitome of ineptitude on Sunday was Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll. The goal line sequence was the most obvious of all the examples, but it was awful all day long. Why it took three failed attempts by Gore before realizing that maybe a 6-foot-5 quarterback could sneak the ball across for six inches is beyond me, but Daboll just kept blowing it over and over.’
Buffalo Bills Week 9 Report Card: Allen, Singletary lead Bills to 24-9 win over Washington
‘Josh Allen was OK against Washington. He made some good throws. His best was a bullet to John Brown along the sideline to set up Devin Singletary’s late touchdown. But he fumbled on a run (the Bills recovered) and he missed on a deep ball. He has to protect the ball, and he has to make use of that big arm. Otherwise, it’s worth questioning why the Bills felt he was the franchise quarterback. There are deep threats on this team, but Allen isn’t finding them. It’s about time he does.’

Buffalo Bills Outrun Washington In 24-9 Victory, Move To 6-2
‘The Bills’ wins have come against teams that entered this weekend with a combined record of 7-31. And their latest came against a team that’s already fired its coach and was down to its third quarterback, with rookie first-round pick Dwayne Haskins making his first career start. Washington (1-8) matched its worst start since 1998.’
Buffalo Bills Might Be Most Flawed 6-2 Team You’ve Ever Seen
‘The other area that fans must track going forward is the Bills’ strange scoring lapses in the third quarter. For whatever reason, the offense has come up cold to start the second half. In five games, the Bills have scored zero points in the third quarter, which is by far their weakest quarter.’
Looking Back At Marv Levy, Who Was Hired By The Bills On This Date In 1986
‘Veteran nose tackle Fred Smerlas said at the time: “It’s been a long time since I’ve seen fire in the boys’ eyes in the huddle. Marv had a lot to do with it. He patted us on the back. He treated us like gentlemen. It’s a heck of a change.”’
Singletary shines in Bills 24-9 win over Redskins
‘Washington’s Adrian Peterson had a stellar first half, with 101 yards rushing in the first half, but the Bills defense limited his running after halftime, as Peterson finished with 108 yards on the ground.’
The Bills use Singletary to get by Washington
‘You hear Sean McDermott say all the time that they tune out the noise, but McDermott and his staff certainly listened to the fans this week. Devin Singletary started at runningback and was pretty much the Bills offense.’
