‘But the Bills still managed to lose the game. While there were a number of reasons for that, the main culprit was Josh Allen. There’s no other way to put it other than the Bills second year quarterback absolutely killed them. Now Allen isn’t the first young quarterback to look bad against a Belichick coached defense and he won’t be the last but his numerous mistakes were the biggest factor in this defeat. Allen again tried to make too many hero throws and it came back to bite him. In the first quarter he attempted a deep throw for John Brown at the right hash but Allen apparently didn’t see the safety in the middle of the field who came over for the pick. In the second quarter Allen threw off his back foot with a pass rusher coming and just lofted a ball up for Zay Jones but it too was intercepted.’

Bové: You should still be optimistic about the Bills
‘While it’s admirable that Hyde would take some of the blame, the Bills didn’t lose on Sunday because of their defense. They lost because their offense was putrid during the first half and they made way too many mistakes. Josh Allen, before leaving the game with a concussion, threw three interceptions in what was certainly his worst game of the season. And yet despite their inability to put points on the board, the Bills defense allowed just nine points.

“Self-inflicted wounds” hurt Bills in first loss to New England
‘“This game is not going to define us,” linebacker Lorenzo Alexander said. “I think it’s going to make us better. We’re 3-1, right where we want to sit. This is a game we probably could have won, we just didn’t play well enough in the first half.”’
Hyde on helmet-to-helmet hit: “If one of us did that to (Brady) we wouldn’t be in the game anymore”
