‘Two big touchdown grabs over the past two weeks for Williams has really vaulted him into the discussion as one of the wide receivers who should be kept on the roster. But it’s also how he made those grabs, by using his big body to go high and show he can be a valuable red zone target. That’s something the Bills really don’t have on the roster and where Williams has a chance to carve out a niche. He may still need to make another play or two like that Thursday night to show he’s worthy of a roster spot.’

Bills sign kicker Stephen Hauschka to two-year contract extension
‘Last season, Hauschka hit 17 consecutive field goals, the second longest streak in Bills history. He also became the 10th active player in the NFL to reach 1,000 career points. He’s 54-of-55 on point after attempts in his two seasons with the Bills. Hauschka has hit 2-of-4 field goal attempts and 9-of-9 point after attempts this preseason.’
Bills on the bubble — 5 players to watch in preseason finale
‘Despite some huge plays for the Bills in the preseason, McKenzie remains on the bubble based off the Bills newfound depth at the wide receiver position. While nothing is certain, it would be hard to imagine the Bills parting ways with John Brown, Cole Beasley, Zay Jones, Robert Foster, and Andre Roberts. That leaves only a job or two available if of course, the Bills don’t decide to keep only five wideouts as they’ve done in the past.’
Hauschka inks 2-year extension with Bills
‘In his first year with the team, Hauschka became the first kicker in NFL history have kicked 53-yard field goals or long in back-to-back games. He booted a 55-yarder against the Denver Broncos in Week 3 of that season, and followed that up with a 56-yarder on the road against the Atlanta Falcons a week later.’
4 Players to Watch: Bills vs Vikings
‘Eddie Yarbrough’s chance of making the team has new life. Fellow defensive end Mike Love has been placed on injured reserved ending his season. Yarbrough was battling Love for one off the backup spots at defensive end. If the Bills only keep 4 defensive ends he still has to edge out Darryl Johnson which seems like a long shot but if they go with 5 then Yarbrough would make the cut.’
Hauschka gets extension; Love goes to IR
‘Instead, his season is now over and it makes rookie Darryl Johnson likely among the locks to be part of the final 53. Eddie Yarbrough may also have a chance to make the team.’
Why Duke Williams is prepared to fight for a roster spot in the final preseason game
‘“I have to put myself in position to be successful and I can’t be successful sitting at home. That was my motivation going through all this, just showing myself that it’s not about you. You’ve got to put your pride aside and put others first. Since I’ve been doing that, everything started falling in place.”’
Bills sign Stephen Hauschka to two-year extension
‘“I’m super excited,” said Hauschka. “We’ve come to love this place. It’s such a great place to work and raise a family. The culture and environment we get to work and play in every single day is amazing. We’re going to turn this thing around and win a bunch of games here and I’m excited to be a part of it.”’
Bills placed DE Mike Love on I-R; waive OL De’Ondre Wesley
‘Love had put together a strong offseason and training camp after adding seven to eight pounds of lean muscle mass to his frame and improving his explosion off the line. He likely would’ve been one of the final considerations for the fourth defensive end spot on the roster, but suffered a pectoral injury in the preseason game against Detroit that landed him on I-R.’
Bills ‘Electric Company’ lineman Donnie Green passes
‘“We talked to each other quite often over the last several years,” said DeLamielleure. “I got the news today and I was like, ‘Oh man.’ He was hurting for a long time. It was sad. Donnie had back and neck issues and was on kidney dialysis. He had a lot of complications.”’

‘Jaquan Johnson should see a good bit of playing time in the Bills final preseason game. The rookie safety from Miami came up with his first turnover at the end of the Week 3 victory against the Detroit Lions, forcing a fumble with two minutes left in the game.’
Bills Today: Josh Allen says it’s going to be a special year
‘“It’s nothing that I want more in this world,” Allen said, “to lead this team to the playoffs and give them a chance to compete for Super Bowls down the road.”‘
