‘He played the last four seasons for the Chicago Bears appearing in 51 games with 25 starts. Acho is coming off a torn pectoral muscle injury suffered last October that landed him on injured reserve with the Bears as he missed the last 11 games of the season. Off the field, Acho was named the Bears’ Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee in 2016 and 2017.’

‘“That’s where he’s played more over the course of the last four or five years,” said McDermott of Munnerlyn’s play at nickel. “We just want to get him acclimated to what we do and his new surroundings and teammates and take it one day at a time.”’

‘Spencer Long rotated in at left guard for Quinton Spain, who has had a virtual stranglehold on the starting left guard spot. After a few more snaps Long then moved to his right to line up at center. Jon Feliciano kicked out to right guard and Cody Ford moved to right tackle, with Nsekhe stepping out.’

‘“It will be nice and a great opportunity to see some old friends,” McDermott said. “It was a place that helped me in so many ways with great people and a great organization. Wofford is a neat campus, very similar to St. John Fisher in terms of the pride that they take in what they do down there. That said, we have work to do and that’s why we are going down there. I’m interested to watch and I’m excited to watch our team grow through this experience.”’
