‘”I’m definitely going to have a little edge on me,” Munnerlyn said after going through his first practice with the Bills Sunday, a day after signing with them. “But at the same time, I’m going to be smart about it. But I’m going to make some plays. You can guarantee when I make the plays, they’re going to know about it.”‘

Newly acquired Bills OT Ryan Bates cramming to learn a new offense
‘Bates worked at left and right tackle with the third-team offense Sunday in his first practice. An undrafted free agent out of Penn State, he played in 37 career games with the Nittany Lions, including 12 starts in 2018 — nine at left tackle and three at right.’
What He Said: Sean McDermott on Munnerlyn, injuries and more
‘With defense, I like to believe it evolves every year and stays current with the trends and what not. That said, there’s a core that is probably about the same as to what he knew back when we worked together in Carolina. Like I said before, in respect to Captain, the things that jump out even when we watched him play on TV last year maybe was the competitiveness and all that hasn’t changed. I think that’s in his DNA.’
Bills have been busy tweaking roster, including signing CB Captain Munnerlyn
‘“I was with him, but it’s been a few years since the last time we worked together,” McDermott said. “But what I remember is the competitiveness, the toughness. Obviously, he’s played in this system before so he has some familiarity with our system, both in the slot and at corner. We’ll see how he does and how he progresses. He’s been out of it a little bit, so he has to play himself back into shape. We just want to get him acclimated to what we do and his new surroundings and teammates and take it one day at a time.”’
Bills’ Cole Beasley: No limits to what Josh Allen and I can do together
‘“That whole route was an improvisation,” Beasley said Friday after the team’s light practice without pads back at it’s training center. “(Josh) kind of thought I was gonna go one way and I came the other way. It was good patience by him and he still got it to me on time. That’s what you want to see. It’ll be like that sometimes. Sometimes he may not kind of know where I’m going. But as long as I don’t do too much he won’t throw it; he won’t let it go. I made a quick decision and it was definitive so he was able to hold on to it and get it to me.”’
Buffalo Bills have released guard Vladimir Ducasse; Sean McDermott provides injury update
‘McDermott also updated the Bills’ injury report at his press conference. Center Mitch Morse and tackle Conor McDermott are still in the NFL’s concussion protocol. Linebacker Corey Thompson (groin), center Russell Bodine (oblique), running back Senorise Perry (ankle), and tight ends Dawson Knox (hamstring) and Tyler Kroft (foot) will all not practice on Sunday. Tight end Jason Croom, who’s working back from a hamstring injury is set to participate in practice on a limited basis.’
Who is Sam Acho? 5 things to know Buffalo Bills DE
‘Sam Acho is well-respected by his peers. In 2016 and 2017, Acho was Chicago’s Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year nominee. The NFL’s Man of the Year award recognizes civic and professional contributions.’
Bills training camp 2019: Isaiah McKenzie trending up (Day 13 observations)
‘Veteran guard Vladimir Ducasse was released Sunday as his chances of making the final roster shrunk drastically when rookie Cody Ford was moved inside from tackle to right guard. Jon Feliciano, Spencer Long and Wyatt Teller have all been moved around the line during camp and were above Ducasse on the depth chart and in rep counts.’
Buffalo Bills training camp day 13 wrap-up: News, injuries, quotes, opponent info, more
‘After his impressive performance, the Bills rewarded McKenzie on Sunday by working him in with the first-team offense. He performed well according to our own Matt Parrino.’
How a familiar ‘Yappy dog’ will no doubt spice up Panthers-Bills joint practices
‘“It’ll be like the yappy dog,” Rivera joked of Munnerlyn, a 10-year veteran who the Panthers cut in February. “Somebody rings the doorbell, and the dog starts barking.”’
New Bills CB Captain Munnerlyn eager to face Panthers
‘“I know there’s going to be a lot of trash-talking, and I’ll probably be doing a lot of it,” he said.’
Bills Sign Defensive End Acho And Release Guard Duccasse
‘Duccasse is a nine-year veteran who had one season left on the three-year contract he signed with Buffalo in 2017. He started 21 games in two seasons with the Bills, before becoming the odd-man out in what’s become an offseasonlong overhaul of what had been a patchwork offensive line.’
Bills gearing up for joint practices with the Panthers
‘”It’ll be nice and a great opportunity to see some old friends, and a place that helped me in so many ways with great people and a great organization,” McDermott said during his press conference before practice on Sunday. “Wofford is a neat campus, very similar to St. John Fisher [College] in terms of the pride that they take and what they do down there. With that said, we have work to do, and that’s why we’re going down there. I’m excited to watch our team grow through this experience.”‘
Bills sign Sam Acho; release Vlad Ducasse
‘As for Ducasse, the Bills released him just before his third season with the organization. In two seasons with Buffalo, Ducasse played in a total of 22 games, starting at guard in 19 of those contests.’
Munnerlyn excited to join Bills, have joint practices with Panthers
‘“I think the defense just fit my style,” he said. “Especially at the nickel position and the toughness I bring. Coach McDermott, he likes blitzing. He’s not going to sit back, he’s going to get after you. I’m a great blitzer and I like to compete. I’m a competitor and I’m going to go out there and make plays.”’
