‘The move was necessitated because the Bills have placed cornerback E.J. Gaines on injured reserve with a groin injury.’

Updated 53-man roster projection after Bills’ latest moves
‘Jackson showed off the big arm he’s known for, but completed just 2 of 10 throws. He remains a practice-squad candidate.’
Bills Mailbag: What to make of Devin Singletary’s promising start
‘I do believe that the Bills will keep Singletary as the third running back, at least for now. The pecking order throughout training camp has been LeSean McCoy, Frank Gore, Singletary, Yeldon, Senorise Perry, Marcus Murphy and Wade. I don’t see that changing real soon. Singletary flashed some of his potential against the Colts, but it’s premature in my mind to suggest he’s the best running back on the roster. The Bills have come this far with McCoy, it makes sense to see what he can do behind a rebuilt offensive line.’
When the opportunity arose to join the Bills, Kurt Coleman jumped at it
‘“Some organizations, some head coaches, you just don’t know and you don’t like the situation, but I knew what I was going to get here with him and I was excited when him and I were talking, Brandon Beane and I were talking, I knew this was going to be a great opportunity for me and my family,” said Coleman, who played for McDermott as a rookie in 2010 in Philadelphia, and then again in 2015 and 2016 in Carolina.’
Buffalo Bills sign veteran CB Captain Munnerlyn to replace EJ Gaines
‘The Bills also signed defensive tackle Roderick Young to bring their roster back up to 91 players.’
Buffalo Bills add Captain Munnerlyn: 5 things to know about CB
‘Munnerlyn still holds the Panthers career interception return touchdown record (5 touchdowns). He is also tied for the club’s single-season interception return touchdown record with 2, which he accomplished in back-to-back seasons (2012-2013) under Sean McDermott.’
Buffalo Bills to place E.J. Gaines on IR: What it means for team
‘After signing with the Bills this offseason, Gaines was expected to compete for the team’s No. 2 cornerback job against returning starter Levi Wallace and veteran free-agent signing Kevin Johnson. With Gaines out of the picture, the competition is down to a two-man race. Wallace is currently projected to retain the job, but Johnson has a chance to prove himself over the team’s final three preseason games.’
You can’t tell history of NFL without Buffalo Bills’ Tasker, says Patriots’ Matthew Slater
‘Slater added, “To me, you can’t tell the history of the 100 years of the NFL without saying the name Steve Tasker, If he hadn’t done his role at such a high level, I’m not sure guys like me would have a job.”’
The NFL isn’t done with Captain Munnerlyn just yet, as he lands with new team
‘The Alabama product was a three-year contributor in Columbia from 2006-2008. He anchored South Carolina’s defense, earning All-SEC honors in 2007 as he picked off three passes and made 47 tackles.’
Opinion: Why Christian Wade’s Buffalo Bills touchdown was rejoiced by millions
‘It’s not the top of the mountain yet for Wade. But the moment was colossal. Not only because it was his first touch of an American Football in a match situation, but for the relief it gave the army of sports lovers this side of the Atlantic. Finally the spotlight of worldwide attention was rightly being shone upon him.’
Phoebe Schecter on switching equestrianism for the NFL: ‘Buffalo Bills players said I tackled better than they did’
‘The Bills made a winning start to the season in their opener on Thursday, but I was baffled to learn that Schecter will not be joining them after the European Championships. Instead, she is taking a self-imposed sabbatical in order to fully commit to developing the game here. A bold move some would say, but Schecter is as excited talking about her work with the UK Dukes, an organisation aiming to increase grassroots participation (with Schecter taking a special interest in female growth), as her time with the Bills. “I’ve had a crazy moment in my life and I’m staying here for the season. [The Bills] are being so supportive.”‘
Bills Sign Munnerlyn And Place Gaines On Injured Reserve
‘Rhaney has appeared in 33 games over five NFL seasons and split the past year playing in the Canadian Football League and now-defunct Alliance of American Football. Young is an undrafted rookie free agent out of North Texas, and was waived by Jacksonville in June after he was hurt.’
Bills sign CB Captain Munnerlyn and two others, place EJ Gaines on IR
‘Munnerlyn is reunited with McDermott, who he played for while McDermott was the defensive coordinator of the Carolina Panthers. Originally a seventh round pick of the Panthers in 2009, Munnerlyn spent five seasons in Carolina before playing for the Minnesota Vikings for two years, then returning to Carolina the last two seasons. He was released by the Panthers back in February. Munnerlyn has 12 career interceptions, returning five of them for touchdowns. The 31-year old has also been durable, playing 154 of a possible 160 regular season games over his ten-year career.’
Bills add two to Injured Reserve, sign three new players
‘Lastly, the Bills cut offensive lineman Nico Siragusa and signed offensive lineman Demetrius Rhaney. The former seventh round pick had played in the CFL and AAF before joining the Bills.’
Ford & Johnson among players praised by McDermott
‘“I thought the first five did some good things in there and then we moved, Cody to the outside and Spencer [Long] came in and I thought Spencer did some nice things so there were some good pieces moving out there,” the head coach said. “The guys were battling, and that’s what you appreciate.”’
