‘Reserve tackle LaAdrian Waddle left Sunday’s practice at St. John Fisher College on a cart after suffering an apparent leg injury, the latest setback for an offensive line that has struggled to find any sort of continuity during training camp.’

Camp Observations: Cody Ford spends a day at guard
‘Two of the Bills’ top three guards were sitting out. Spencer Long still has a knee injury. Jon Feliciano sat out with a sore shoulder.’
Long wait for next Bills Hall of Famer could get even longer
‘Tasker is easily the most popular name on the list. That has plenty to do with with his underdog story, as a small guy who arrived as a waiver-claim afterthought in 1986 and proceeded to carve out a long and distinguished career on special teams. Nowhere is that sort of biography embraced more tightly than Buffalo, where there has always been a greater appreciation for gritty and scrappy than smooth and silky.’
The Levys finally visit Marv’s bust, and he wants Steve Tasker to join
‘Of course, unjamming the backlog of players awaiting Hall induction may open space for Tasker in later years, which may mean Hall selectors will have reason to dust off the letter Levy sent them in 2017.’
New Bills return man Andre Roberts can’t wait to line up against the Jets on opening day
‘“It used to (tick) me off, but not so much anymore,” said Roberts, who is coming off a season during which he led the NFL in kickoff return yards (1,174) and punt return average (14.1) but caught only 10 passes in a limited role as a wide receiver while playing for the Jets. “I kind of don’t care what other people think, it’s about my coaches and what they think.”’
Buffalo Bills training camp: Injuries taking a toll up front, Cody Ford moves to guard
‘Coach Sean McDermott said Sunday that Morse remains in the concussion protocol, a situation that grows more worrisome by the day because the Bills simply do not have an adequate option at center if Morse can’t play. Long has missed the last few practices with a sore knee, and Feliciano hurt his shoulder Friday night.’
Buffalo Bills training camp 2019: Jon Feliciano injured; Cody Ford playing guard
‘Feliciano, 27, suffered the injury at “The Return of the Blue & Red” night practice held at New Era Field on Friday night. Buffalo signed Feliciano in the offseason to a two-year, $7.25 million contract in the offseason. Through seven training camp practices, Feliciano found himself competing for Buffalo’s starting right guard job. While that roster battle wages on, Feliciano’s ability to play both guard positions and center has him in a good spot to make the Bills’ 53-man roster.’
Bills training camp 2019: Cody Ford unfazed by move to guard (Day 9 observations)
‘“Any time a player is injured I am concerned because it’s their health and the health of our overall football team,” McDermott said. “You’ve heard me say how important availability is so we have to make sure that when we get these guys back, just overall, the number of guys we have out there right now it is concerning. We can only control what we can control and that’s what we focus on. It does give other guys opportunity to step up and show us what they got.”’
Buffalo Bills training camp day 9 wrap-up: News, injuries, lineup notes, quotes, more
‘“It wasn’t too bad today. A lot of it wasn’t his fault. A lot of it was us (receivers) being too sloppy,” Cole Beasley said. “That happens sometimes after a day off. You just gotta be more consistent for him (when we’re) running routes and make great decisions for him. He’s doing a heck of a job. It’s really on us. There’s nothing he’s doing bad. He’s a great quarterback and he’s slinging it out there. We just have to be better for him.”’
Sullivan: Beane’s gamble backfires with Morse concussion
‘Morse had three concussions, core muscle surgery and a lingering foot sprain that kept him out of games in KC. He played only seven games in 2017 and missed five games last season. He didn’t play the Chiefs’ two playoff games in his rookie year with a concussion.’
Oliver lines up with starters; Ford at guard
‘After an impressive week of camp, including the practice Friday night at New Era Field, rookie Ed Oliver, the team’s top pick at number nine overall, was on the starting defense, lining up next to Star Lotulelei. Jordan Phillips, who had been the first-team defensive tackle up until Sunday, was playing with the second unit.’
Bills Tweetbag!
‘ There are a decent number of things that have to go right for this team to get to the 10-win mark, and most of them have to do with the offense.’
Morse remains in concussion protocol, Feliciano suffers shoulder injury
‘“I think when you look at some of the successful teams around the league, there is a layer of veterans on those teams and there’s no substitute for experience,” McDermott told reporters on Sunday. “I don’t care how good you are and how much you prepare, experience is real and so in this case, Russ is a veteran player with a ton of experience and a ton of wisdom at the center position he’s built up. So, that’s important for us.”’
Ford slides to right guard as injuries mount on OL
‘So they slid rookie Cody Ford from right tackle inside to guard and Ty Nsekhe was the starting right tackle.’
4 Observations from Bills Camp(8/4)
‘Bills 1st round draft pick Ed Oliver played with the first team defensive line. He was lined up next to Star Lotulelei. Until Sunday, Jordan Phillips was holding down that starting job but Oliver has really started to make plays. The Bills didn’t hand the rookie anything, he earned the promotion.’
