‘Peko was excused from the first day of practice at St. John Fisher College, but was on the field with his teammates Friday — at his wife’s urging.’

Feisty Jon Feliciano puts himself in Bills battle for starting guard job
‘“Literally, I knew we could switch every day,” Feliciano said after Friday’s practice. “Who knows? I might be at center tomorrow. I honestly don’t know. I’m just going to come out here every day and be a good teammate.”’
Josh Allen has solid third-down day at Bills training camp
‘Allen got hot midway through the practice and completed eight of his last 11 pass attempts, all for conversions. The Bills were working on situations between third-and-5 and third-and-2 for most of the practice. And because of the third-down work, the Bills ran almost exclusively out of three-receiver sets.’
What He Said: Sean McDermott on Day 2 of training camp
‘Before I begin, I just want to say of how appreciative I am of Kyle Peko coming to camp. We’re all human and we go through challenges, but the challenge that Kyle and his family are facing is certainly a significant one. I want to let his family know that we are with him all the way, and we’ll continue to pray for them and support them in any way we can.’
Bills DT Kyle Peko reports to training camp after sharing some difficult news
‘“This is how I support my family; this is the way I take care of her and my kids,” he said. “But to be honest, she’s the one that told me to get back out here, she told me not to miss. As a husband and a man, it’s my obligation to be there for my family so it is crazy that I’m here, but it’s her, she wouldn’t want it any other way.”’
Roth: For Allen to succeed, Bills ‘Smurfs’ must come up big at receiver
‘“I’d say with all our wide receivers, they’re like Smurfs,’’ said McDermott, referring to the popular cartoon of small blue people which was also the nickname given the Redskins’ trio of Alvin Garrett, Virgil Seay and yes, a real person named Charlie Brown. “If you ever watch them, they live in like a small village, so they can separate in small spaces. All of our receivers are like this tall.’’’
Three observations as the Bills prepare for Day 3 of training camp
‘“Kurt is a guy who is familiar with both of us,” said Beane. “He’s started more than 80 games, so he’ll bring a lot of veteran savvy. He’s a hard-nosed player who is very smart and a great fit for our team and this defense.”’
Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen on being impervious to NFL pressures, expectations
‘“I understand that. Listen, I love football, I love what this game entails, I love everything about it,” Allen said Thursday after practice. “I love being a Buffalo Bill, I love being here in Buffalo. I love being a part of this team. So that pressure doesn’t really seem so heavy when you think about it that way. When you have guys around you that are going to do their job and that’s where the communication and the camaraderie, and everything that we worked on in OTAs, kind of applies to camp. We continue to build on that and get into season. It’s very fluid and we got a good thing going here.”’
Kyle Peko reports to Buffalo Bills camp as wife battles Hodgkin’s lymphoma
‘They have been married for 4-1/2 years and have two children.’
Buffalo Bills receiver Cole Beasley says how long it’ll take to jell with Josh Allen
‘“Now that we’re finally getting the reps together we can finally get it to click,” Beasley said. “It’s gonna take a little bit. He’s gotta get used to seeing me running routes and I gotta get used to seeing him throwing it back there. It’ll come. It won’t take us too long. I’d say give us about a week, man.”’
Buffalo Bills HC Sean McDermott compares WRs to The Smurfs
‘“They’re small, they live in small villages and can separate quickly,” McDermott told the media on Friday. The comparison drew some laughs, but it’s not the first time he’s said this about the group. When discussing the group in June to ESPN, McDermott once again compared the wide receiver group to The Smurfs.’
Buffalo Bills training camp day 2 wrap-up: News, injuries, lineup notes, quotes, more
‘Sean McDermott isn’t handing the Bills’ three-tech spot to Buffalo’s first-round pick. Oliver remained with the second team on day two of training camp, but showed some get-off and burst against offensive tackle Ty Nsekhe. Oliver is already flashing and it’s just a matter of time before he starts working with the first-team defense.’
Buffalo Bills training camp 2019: Ed Oliver progressing (Day 2 observations)
‘It’s been hard to notice Oliver because they’re not in pads and there a good chunk of the drills where the offensive linemen are dropping to a knee after the snap.’
Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen takes time for fans because he used to be in their shoes
‘“I remember going to sporting events, (San Francisco) Giants games, and (San Francisco) 49ers games growing up,” Allen said. “Sometimes we had the opportunity to go in the tunnel and see some of the Giants players coming in and out of the dugout. Whenever a player even looked around and waved – whether he came over and signed things or gave high-fives, I just remember being super happy that I got to touch a Major League Baseball player’s hand.”’
Josh Allen, Cole Beasley lead Buffalo Bills to AFC East crown in Madden NFL 20 sim
‘Brinson’s simulation unpacked quite a bit of good news for the Bills. First, the team took the AFC East with a 9-7 record. The New England Patriots, winners of the division for the past 10 years, dropped to second with a 7-9 season and missed the playoffs altogether. The Jets went 5-11 and the Dolphins brought up the rear in the division with a 2-13-1 record. As if that’s not enough to make Bills fans rejoice, the simulation also saw Patriots QB Tom Brady retire and Jets head coach Adam Gase get fired after just one season in New York.’
