‘“The year before we had drafted four or five guys from the Senior Bowl,” said Beane. “I love the Senior Bowl. I think, you know, people for a while were more leaning toward underclassmen going for the upside, but there’s something to be said for guys who have played four or five years. Maturity; they’re just older. Maybe they haven’t been the guy that’s always been most sought after and they’ve had the chip or whatever you want to call it on their shoulder. And a lot of these guys…If you look, they succeed. They want it more than a guy who’s maybe had their butt kissed a little bit. And you know I really like those guys.’
