‘“I just feel like Josh Allen oozes so much potential and so much ability,” said Quinn during an appearance on a CBS Sports podcast. “First off, he’s 3-5 as a starter on the Bills. We’re talking about the Bills! Like, they are so far removed from what they were as a team last year with the things they’ve done and changed. He has given that team, that city, hope. He is so good and he has so much upside.”’

Lions all over Allen’s ability to hurt defenses with his legs
‘“I’m not really looking to run the ball,’’ said the kid who is making people forget about Doug Flutie and Tyrod Taylor. “When option 1, 2 and 3 aren’t there, that’s when I try to exploit the defense with my legs. It’s been working the last few weeks, but I know it can’t keep happening repeatedly.’’’
View from the other side: Lions at Bills
‘I think the word “rabid” pretty much speaks for itself, although I don’t know if I’d classify every Bills fan as “crazy.” My sense is that a lot of the table-smashing stuff that you’ve seen on videos represents a fairly small portion of the base and is more about certain people who like drawing attention to themselves rather than a legitimate definition of a Bills fan. I believe what defines fans here is loyalty, and while there are generations of followers who have seen more losing than winning, you’ll find their grandparents and parents clinging to the history and sense of community that comes from rooting for their hometown team. The fact a market as small as Buffalo is able to stay attached to something as massive as the NFL is no minor factor in motivating people to provide as much support as they can.’
No QB is running like Josh Allen. But no team is stopping running QBs like Detroit.
‘“Obviously a very dangerous guy,” Lions coach Matt Patricia said. “He’s right up there with a lot of the other great running quarterbacks in the league right now. We’ve seen a couple this year, but he’s doing a phenomenal job right now of just turning those really nothing plays into some really big or just huge plays for the offense. So, it’s a big challenge for us, and he’s doing a good job of recognizing the coverage that’s behind it. So when those receivers aren’t open and the DBs have their back turned and he can find space to get out and run, he’s taking advantage of it in a big way.”’

Bills wary of Lions QB Stafford despite drop in production
‘”Just because he doesn’t have that feel for his receivers like he usually had in the past with Tate and Johnson and those type of guys, it’s been difficult,” he added. “But that’s not going to stop him from slinging the rock.”‘
Bills RB McCoy returns to practice on limited basis
‘Kicker Stephen Hauschka missed his second consecutive day of practice with a hip injury, though McDermott expects him to play. Hauschka was hurt when he was shoved down from behind by Henry Anderson after the Jets defensive lineman blocked a 49-yard field-goal attempt on the final play of the first half.’
Lions-Bills Preview Capsule
‘Bills outscored by combined 168-32 in first half of nine losses.’
Points will be at a premium when Lions visit Bills
‘”Overall, we’ve got a young offense and that’s been well documented, probably because of that but also because of the way Josh has developed,” McDermott said. “I think if you polled the players, most would say that Josh, certainly (running back) LeSean (McCoy) does good things as well, but Josh, because of the quarterback position, has become the leader.’
Sheriff: Bills game body camera video doesn’t support program
‘“Body cams are raw footage and whatever happens on the body cameras is what happens, that’s my opinion,” Erie County Majority Leader, April Baskin, says. “It is imperative that [the video] is the driving force and catalyst behind the county’s consideration on if that’s something we want deputies to be wearing at all times.”‘

Scouting Report: Week 15 – Bills-Lions
‘Though Matthew Stafford can sling it, the Lions will find Buffalo’s pass defense to be quite stingy. The league top-rated pass defense has not surrendered more than 200 net passing yards to an opponent in eight of their last nine games.’
Bills Today: Former NFL QB: Allen has brought hope to Buffalo
‘“I just feel like Josh Allen, he oozes so much potential and so much ability,” Quinn said on the Pick Six Podcast. “He’s 3-5 as a starter on the Bills. We’re talking about the Bills . . . He has given that team, that city, hope. He is so good and he has so much upside.”’
Kyle Williams passes leadership torch to Tremaine Edmunds
‘“For me, and organizationally … the guy that’s in that position, in a perfect world, is kind of your bell cow,” Williams said. “He’s communicating the ins and outs of the defense to everybody around. He’s the quarterback of the defense.”’
