‘If he’s reinstated by the league, it’s possible that Williams gets signed to a team’s 90-man offseason roster based on the talent that he displayed as a rookie with the Bills.’

Josh Allen should provide Patriots a good tuneup for postseason
‘“I feel like we’ve seen more mobile quarterbacks than pocket passers this year,” said defensive captain Devin McCourty. “Even if you look at Josh Allen, he has a great arm, but he can run. He’s an athlete. There’s not many guys who come into the league right now that aren’t athletes, I mean really good athletes.”’
Bills rookie QB Josh Allen coming on strong as of late
‘“That’s true of, I’d say, the majority of the rookies. Take them out of college, put them into whichever system they go into and then evaluate how that goes,” Bill Belichick said of Allen’s performance based on his draft projection. “It’s sometimes quite different, especially if the systems are different. I mean, anytime you take a player from one system and put them in another system, you see things that you didn’t see before, and maybe you don’t see some of the things that you did see before because it’s a different system.”‘
Foster emerging as Bills’ long-ball threat
‘“A guy, I think he was on their roster earlier and then was on practice squad and just got bumped up,” Patriots cornerback Jason McCourty said. “He looks like a guy that has been learning football throughout the course of the year and he’s been waiting for his opportunity and now he’s making the most of it. So obviously watching the film you see (against) Jacksonville, he takes off across the field and can run. He can get deep, he can run intermediate routes, so definitely one of the better players that’s stepped up for them as of late.”’

Bills at Patriots: Sal’s keys, notes and stats
‘We all know Bill Belichick has a history of making life extremely tough on rookie quarterbacks. Now Josh Allen gets his first chance to face him. Allen missed the teams’ last meeting back in October with an injured elbow. But since returning from that injury, he’s looked like an improved passer and is also now the Bills’ leading rusher on the season. The Bills are 2-2 in that time. This game may very well come down to if the rookie can solve the puzzles Belichick is going to present to try and confuse him.’
Joe B: 5 things to watch for in Buffalo Bills vs. New England Patriots (12/23/18)
‘If Allen and the Bills stay within themselves, put up some points against a beatable Patriots defense, and keep it close against the AFC East leaders, the Bills, and their fans, will likely be feeling great about the state of things heading into the offseason — especially with potentially $100 million in cap space and ten draft picks on the horizon.’
Top 5 reasons Bills fans should be psyched to see the Bills-Patriots Week 16 rematch

Fan Mailbag: What will it take for the Bills to beat the Patriots?
‘Finally, they have to limit big plays by New England’s offense. They can’t give up more than one or two plays over 20 yards, and get a few of their own on offense themselves.’
Bills Today: Bill Belichick: Bills are a different team
‘“It’s been a few weeks since we’ve seen Buffalo, but this is a lot different team than we saw up there,” Belichick said. “Offensively, they’ve got a lot of explosive weapons. We didn’t see [Josh] Allen. He’s been impressive; [Robert] Foster. They have a lot of big plays. The receivers have done a good job.’
Bills sign QB Matt Barkley to two-year extension to mentor Josh Allen
‘”I think my journey through the NFL has been kind of unexpected, not only to me, to other people,” Barkley said. “So to be able to continue to grow and be in a place where I know I want to be and where I can only see this organization going forward and getting better, it’s really exciting.”‘
Vic Carucci’s Take Five: Patriots’ vulnerability feels more legitimate this time
‘It isn’t simply that the Patriots have lost two games in a row, something that hasn’t happened since 2002. It’s that Tom Brady does not look to be at the level that has arguably made him the greatest player in NFL history. At some point, his 41-year-old body will fail him — despite how incredibly well he takes care of it — and that’s looking more and more like the case when it comes to his ability to use his legs to drive the ball through tight spaces.’
Despite serious concussion, Bills’ Anderson would play again in a heartbeat
‘“Unfortunately, it took a little while, but I came through it. The first 5-6 days I couldn’t get right, I had some things going on I couldn’t shake. We went through everything, made sure the doctors said, ‘You’re going to be OK, this isn’t something with long-term effects’ and after that I was good with it. Obviously, I have kids and stuff that I have to worry about, too.’’’
Bills QB Matt Barkley: ‘Sean McDermott is building something special’
‘“I love it. I’m serious, this place is special,” Barkley said. “(Sean) McDermott’s doing something really special, I think, and building the right culture. I want to be a part of it and it doesn’t matter how cold it is, I want to be a part of it.”’
Josh Allen faces Tom Brady for first time Sunday in Bills vs. Patriots (8 thoughts)
‘All of these factors make this game the biggest for Allen this season. It’s easy to downplay the significance of the quarterback vs. quarterback narrative. After all the QBs play against the defense not the other team’s offense. But when an all time great is the quarterback on the other side the game just becomes bigger.’
