‘He continued, “Right now, we’re just losing in a lot of ways and we haven’t been able to put it together. It’d be one thing if guys were unprofessional. Then you’d see more divisiveness It’s frustrating but I’m not going to turn my back on any of my teammates because they’re trying their best and trying to compete.”‘

Sean McDermott: 4 Notable Quotes vs. Chicago
‘Q: Is Nate Peterman an NFL quarterback in particular? A: I believe he is. I believe he is.’
Got $5? See the Bills play the Dolphins in December
‘You’ll have to pay a little bit extra to see the Bills host the Jets and the Lions in December. Tickets for those games are starting at $7 and $6, respectively.’
Bills humbled at home by Bears
‘After a scoreless first quarter, the Bears took command in all phases. After Jordan Howard punched in a score form the 1-yard line, the Bears defense forced a turnover on the following Bills possession. Bears linebacker Roquan Smith punched the ball out of Bills tight end Jason Croom’s arms before Eddis Jackson scooped up the fumble and ran 65 yards for a defensive touchdown.’
Bills at a loss for words after being blown out by Bears
‘”We’re just not playing up to a good enough standard right now. We’re inconsistent as a team right now,” added Alexander. “Defense plays well and then the offense is not doing well– I mean, it’s just inconsistent. We just have to play better as a team, as a unit.”‘
Bills Decompress: Back to NFL punchline
‘They’ve lost to the Colts, Patriots and Bears by a combined 83 points.’
Game recap: Bills fall to the Bears
‘The offense struggled throughout the majority of the loss, not putting up their first points until the second half. Nathan Peterman was asked to throw early and often on Sunday, completing 31 of 49 passes for 189 yards. He also threw three interceptions.’
Top 3 things we learned from Bills-Bears
‘For a team that has had trouble scoring points this season, the margin of error when it comes to ball security is pretty much zero. Unfortunately, the Bears defense was stealth-like in forcing turnovers and they proved to put the game away for Chicago early.’
Bills inactives: Derek Anderson sidelined for Sunday
‘Rookie LB Tremaine Edmunds was in the same boat as he too was in the concussion protocol all week and was also downgraded from questionable to out over the weekend.’
Bills Today: How the Bills plan to rebuild confidence moving forward
‘“You’ve got to start just by getting a win,” Alexander said. “We’re not going to be confident until we figure out a way to win right now. Being 2-7 is not what anybody expected, so we have to get back to work. Get ready and try to figure out a way to beat the Jets next week away.”‘
Khalil Mack among Western New York’s ‘best players who got away’
‘The Bills twice passed up the chance to take him, despite drafting defensive linemen with their first two picks, neither of whom ever played for the team. (Both selections, Carl Eller and Dick Evey, opted to play in the NFL, which at the time was widely considered the superior league. Philbin also was selected in the third round of the NFL draft by the Detroit Lions, but couldn’t resist the allure of New York City.)’
One-on-One Coverage: Daryl Johnston on Bills’ QBs and growing up a Dolphins fan
‘“We saw it last week in Tampa Bay with Jameis Winston against Cincinnati. We saw (Ryan) Fitzpatrick come off the bench and get them get them tied up in the fourth quarter (before the Buccaneers lost in overtime). You’ve got to have that guy, and right now Buffalo doesn’t have that backup quarterback.”’
Pregame primer: 5 things to watch when Bills host Bears
‘Thus, it’s Peterman time. Watching him is compelling in the same way as a car crash. Just when you think he couldn’t possibly throw another interception, he does. Will that continue, or can Peterman show the Bills were right and the world was wrong by proving he’s a capable NFL quarterback? Either answer will be fascinating to watch.’
Bills-Bears Scouting Report: With or without Khalil Mack, Chicago’s defense is formidable
‘Bears 20, Bills 17.’
Jay Skurski’s Bills Mailbag: Should you still ‘trust the process?’
‘Here’s how I would say you can “trust the process,” though: We’ve seen the alternative, and we know that doesn’t work. The Bills have forever cycled through coaches and general managers. That has proved to be a recipe for failure. Since Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott took over, they’ve been consistent in expressing how this “build,” as they call it, will take some time. I understand the skepticism right now based on how the offense has looked, but it’s too early to pull the plug. I’m far from convinced that Josh Allen is the answer, but it’s not that uncommon for rookie quarterbacks to struggle, and there is no denying he needs a better supporting cast. The fact is, we simply don’t know right now if he’s the right man for the job.’
