‘“It feels really good. The elbow is feeling a lot better than what it was,” said Allen. “To get out here and get time with our guys, start running plays with our offense, and really game planning for Sunday, it’s been awesome. Sitting out is no fun for anybody; I hate that part of this game of football, but it feels good to be back.”’

6 things to watch in Bills-Jags and the AFC East this weekend
‘“I know one of the years in Carolina, I think it was 2002, we won four of the last five and the next year we took off and went 11-5. I’m not predicting that will happen, but I think a strong finish helps you,” Beane continued. “But even if we lose some of the games to some good opponents which we still have in front of us–you want to see us be very competitive and play well and if we lose, we don’t lose because we beat ourselves, we lose because we lost to a better team.”’
Bills Today: Micah Hyde: We have to play our ‘A’ game
‘“That’s how competitive the NFL is,” Hyde said. “You have to win the close games, and unfortunately, we haven’t been able to do that this year. I think for them, also, they haven’t been able to pull away and win the close games.”’
Star Lotulelei gears up for physical test vs. Jaguars, ex-teammate
‘“As a defense I think we’re playing well,” Lotulelei said. “We had a couple games where it was ugly and things got out of hand quick. But for the most part, I think we’ve done our best to keep our team in games, give our team a chance to win. I think the stats show that. Were a top defense in a lot of categories. But there’s things we need to work on. We can be a better tackling defense, recognizing our run fits, being where we need to be. There’s small things we can do to make our defense better.”’
Mark Gaughan’s X’s and O’s: Welcome to the modern NFL — but not on Sunday
‘“That shows you how much the game has changed,” said Bills defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier. “There are teams now that don’t even carry a fullback. The game has changed a lot.”’
How we see it: Predictions for Bills-Jaguars in Week 12
‘The Jaguars continue to be in a free fall and it’s fair to assume that some, if not most, of their players have checked out on a season that was expected to be so much better. Their offense is abysmal, and should allow the Bills’ defense to be opportunistic in forcing turnovers and even scoring. The Jags’ defense will provide a strong test for Josh Allen’s return at quarterback, but the Bills’ offensive line seems to have turned the corner and figures to pave the way for another big day on the ground.’
View from Vegas: With little offense, what’s the play in Bills-Jaguars?
‘It’s hard to gauge the mental state of these fragile squads. What we do know is the Jags are just 1-11 against the spread as road favorites when coming off a win agains the spread and facing a losing opponent. On the flip side, the Bills stand 5-1 against the spread in games before taking on consecutive division foes. They are also 6-4 straight up and 7-3 against the spread as home dogs of six or fewer points against visitors coming in off a spread win.’
Wyatt Teller thought it would be cool to block Jags’ Malik Jackson and now he has chance
‘“When I was in Atlanta training for the combine, I was with Jon Stinchcomb,” Teller recalled of his sessions with the former NFL offensive lineman who helps draft prospects prepare for the scouting combine and their pro days. “He pulled up some game film and we literally studied (Jackson) because he’s one of the best. So to me it’s like, wow, I was watching this guy thinking it would be really cool to block him one day, and here I am.”’

Scouting Report – Week 12 – Bills vs. Jaguars
‘Be the better defense In a game that is largely expected to be low scoring in nature, Buffalo’s defense must be outplay Jacksonville’s defensive unit. That means forcing more turnovers, limiting the Jaguars scoring opportunities and forcing them to settle for field goals instead of touchdowns.’
Vic Carucci: Teller’s toughness makes instant impact on Bills’ O-line
‘Teller didn’t come in with anything close to the hype Allen received. Teller was a fifth-round draft pick from Virginia Tech. He was someone General Manager Brandon Beane and the rest of the Bills’ scouting staff concluded had the smarts, strength and athleticism to make a successful transition from the spread-style offense most colleges use to a far more complicated scheme that would ask him to pull and use his considerable power to match up against massive defensive linemen.’
Bills receiver Zay Jones: ‘I’m going to really turn heads’
‘“One thing with Zay you’re always going to get is he works his tail off,” Allen said. “He’s never taken a play off. I haven’t seen one.”’
Josh Allen on Jalen Ramsey’s ‘trash’ talk: ‘It doesn’t matter to me’
‘“How I deal with that is I don’t deal with it. It doesn’t matter to me,” Allen said about Ramsey’s comments after practice Wednesday, as he prepares to start his first game since spraining his right elbow on Oct. 14 in Houston. “Everybody’s got their own opinion. I’ll say it over and over again: The only people I care about their opinion (are on) this team, the people in this franchise and organization, how they view me as a person and as a football player. Everybody’s got their own say, and that’s fine. We move on.”’
Bills injuries: Matt Milano cleared, Shaq Lawson hurt
‘Linebacker Matt Milano, who suffered a concussion against the Jets, has cleared the concussion protocol and is expected to play against Jacksonville.’
Thanks to Bills DE Shaq Lawson, his dad’s ‘name will forever be known’ at youth field
‘“Tom (Cloer III), the director at Central, he called and said they’d been trying to get a scoreboard for the last five years, but they didn’t have enough money,” Lawson said recently. “I’ve been there a long time, grew up in the area, and the scoreboard we had when I was there was bad. I told them how much they had done for me at Central, and I told them I’d love to donate the whole scoreboard myself. I wanted it to be my gift, to give back to Tom, to the town of Central, and to the kids.”’
