Bills trying to strike right balance with Josh Allen’s running

‘“I thought overall, he was on time going through his reads, going through his progressions,” coach Sean McDermott said. “Certainly, there’s some plays that he would like to have back, but overall, again, coming off of that hiatus in being out, I thought he was on time with most of those decisions and going through the proper progressions. When it was time to pull it down, he pulled it down and went with it. When it was time to get rid of it, he got rid of it and threw it away if it was there. Picking the coverage apart late in the down from the pocket surely is going to have to wait until next year. Obviously, the TD pass to Foster was an elite throw. But it was great to see his accuracy while taking a hit on the 19-yard pass to Foster in the third quarter. And the 16-yard, third-down dart to McKenzie (it got called back) was great. Fournette threw punches and Lawson responded with some of his own. Both players were ejected from the game and carried on their conversation near the tunnel as they were escorted off the field.’
