‘Yeah, it’s clearly not good enough. I thought the defense came out and played well at times. Offensively, we shot ourselves a little bit in the foot there at times and just couldn’t get it going enough. We had some first downs but couldn’t get it going enough, in particular when we started to get it going to your question. We’ve got to continue going back and find answers, find solutions.’

McCourty’s pick-6 seals Patriots’ 25-6 win over Bills
‘The Bills offense continued its anemic ways in being held to under 7 points for the fourth time this season — once more than that’s happened from 2013-17. Buffalo has scored just two touchdowns in its past five outings, a stretch in which it has been outscored by a margin of 116-37.
McCoy laments 13-yard outing in Bills 25-6 loss to Patriots
‘”I’ve had bad games, but this? The flow of the season and everything is bad,” McCoy said following a 25-6 loss to the New England Patriots. “I’m 30 years old. I’ve been playing since high school. This stuff has never happened to me. Yeah, it’s tough.”‘
Bills honor Thurman Thomas by retiring No. 34
‘”When I look up and see the No. 34 retired under my name, I’ll be reminded that number doesn’t just belong to me,” Thomas said. “It belongs to the Bills fans everywhere.”‘
AP source: Terrelle Pryor visits with Buffalo Bills
‘Pryor has been used as mostly as a receiver at the NFL level, and had 14 catches for 235 yards and two touchdowns with the Jets. He also has experience at quarterback, which is the position he played during a three-year career at Ohio State.’
Patriots do just enough to defeat Bills
‘The only two Buffalo quarterbacks who had more wins than Brady in Orchard Park were Jim Kelly (66), Joe Ferguson (43) and Drew Bledsoe (18). It speaks to Brady’s success in Buffalo and the Bills’ history of quarterbacks who struggled throughout his career.’
Bills vs. Patriots final score, takeaways: Pats surge late vs. upstart underdogs for easy road win
‘The bottom line of this game? It was a have and have-not matchup. The Patriots are the cream of the crop and they’re about to hit the cruise control portion of the season, having overcome a slow start, stacked some wins and moved to 6-2 with a large division lead. Buffalo is a team starting a 35-year-old Anderson under center because Josh Allen is injured and Nathan Peterman is addicted to throwing interceptions. Anderson was signed on Oct. 9.’
Three takeaways from the Patriots’ win over the Bills
‘Buffalo entered the game with the worst third-down conversion rate in the NFL, a meager 27.4 percent, and managed to convert just four of 14 third downs Monday.’
NFL free agency rumors: Bills have offered contract to former Jets WR Terrelle Pryor
‘The Jets cut the 29-year-old wide receiver — who was dealing with a groin injury — earlier this month. But, Pryor told ESPN shortly after his release he was close to 100-percent healthy and had already been contacted by several teams.’
Bills defensive gem is wasted, lose to New England 25-6
‘Derek Anderson was 22-of-39 for 290 yards and that interception to McCourty. LeSean McCoy only has 13 yards on 12 carries, but led the Bills in receiving with 6 catches and 82 yards. Zay Jones reeled in 6 passes for 55 yards as well for Buffalo, while Chris Ivory led the Bills in rushing with 34 yards on just 6 carries.’
Sal’s Sticks: Patriots at Bills
‘The Bills gained 12 yards running the ball on their very first play from scrimmage. After that, they gained a total of 30 yards for the entire football game. That’s just brutal. For the game, they averaged only 2.4 yards per carry. After the first run, the average only 1.8 yards per carry. We know this team has enough trouble throwing the football. Add to it these numbers running and it will not be a good outcome, and wasn’t.’
Report: Bills offer contract to WR Terrelle Pryor
‘Pryor is 29 years old and has played for four teams in his NFL career dating back to 2011. He played in Oakland, Cleveland, Washington, and most recently with the New York Jets. With the Jets this season, Pryor had two touchdowns and 235 receiving yards. He was released after sustaining a groin injury. Comparing Pryor to some of the other receivers Buffalo has, Zay Jones has one touchdown and 226 receiving yards. Kelvin Benjamin also has just one touchdown and 217 receiving yards.’
Joe B: 7 observations from Buffalo Bills vs. New England Patriots (10/29/18)
‘The Bills, despite the lack of a consistent pass rush and almost at times by design, were able to keep Tom Brady from working the ball down the field consistently enough.’
Bills retire Thurman Thomas jersey during MNF
‘”I never thought when I retired that I would get to experience the singular thrill of coming out of the tunnel and onto the field in front of you all once again but I am experiencing it now,” Thomas said.’
