‘”(It) wasn’t a question of whether, ‘Do you want to run routes?’ and I declined,” Benjamin said after the Bills’ 20-13 loss to the Texans. “It was just somebody just trying to take something and run with it and try to get their name out there. Pregame is the player’s choice to warm up to get ready for the game.”‘

Report card: Buffalo Bills’ defensive effort goes to waste vs. Texans
‘Sunday’s game should end Peterman’s time on the roster. He’s proven that he does not have it takes to be a NFL quarterback.’
Kelvin Benjamin is ‘one of the biggest doofuses in the league’ (Media reacts to pregame route refusal)
‘Benjamin will certainly be given a chance to explain why he said no post-game, but Twitter was fast to reaction to the story. Here are some of the best reactions.’
Buffalo Bills unlikely to trade running back LeSean McCoy (report)
‘Rapoport added that the Bills would need a lot to move McCoy. He said Buffalo’s asking price could be similar to what the Seattle Seahawks were looking for when safety Earl Thomas was healthy and that the Eagles weren’t likely to send a second round pick for the 30-year old running back.’
NFL Week 6 odds, over/under: Bills open as underdog to Colts
‘The Bills opened as a 6.5-point underdog for next week’s game on the road against the Indianapolis Colts after Peterman wasted a superb defensive effort for the Bills against the Texans resulting in a 20-13 loss. The point spread jumped to seven points shortly after opening.’
Buffalo Bills Week 6 Report Card: Bills spoil superb defensive performance, lose to Texans 20-13
‘Name a guy and he probably had a great game. Kyle Williams? A beast. He finished with two sacks, but he was really in on three. (He had two half-sacks.) For a big man, he has shown over the course of his career a great ability to get to the quarterback. Jerry Hughes? Another monster game. He finished with 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble. Rookie Harrison Phillips had a fumble recovery and a tackle for a loss. Eddie Yarbrough was great against the run. Shaq Lawson chipped in with two tackles and a sack. The Bills’ defensive line rotation is working, and it’s producing results. This was reminiscent of when the Bills had Hughes, Mario Williams, Marcell Dareus and Kyle Williams out there. The difference now is they have six, seven or eight guys who can go out there and produce.’
Dismal legend of Bills’ Nathan Peterman continues
‘With the Bills hoping Peterman might carefully guide them into winning field-goal range before overtime, his numbness between the ears returned once game pressure amplified. He believed again that he has the arm to rip long, barely forward passes into the hands of his receivers between the field-painted numbers and the sideline before defensive backs can arrive.’

Nathan Peterman Got Another Chance. It Didn’t End Well.
‘Sports has a way of giving us stories of tremendous individual redemption. This is not one of those stories.’
Joseph’s INT return for TD lifts Texans over Bills 20-13
‘The Bills hurried and harassed Watson all day, sacking him seven times and hitting him 12 more times. Watson, who was questionable this week with a chest injury, was slow to get up several times and didn’t seem to be moving as well as he normally does.’
Buffalo QB Allen injures elbow in 20-13 loss to Houston
‘”They were bringing pressure and really just made a bad decision,” Peterman said. “It’s something I’m going to learn from. Critical time, there are just so many lessons out there to learn from.”‘
Bills QB Allen hurt in loss to Texans
‘Bills coach Sean McDermott did not give any indication on the severity of the injury to the rookie signal-caller. McDermott was not pleased with the officiating regarding the hit on Allen that he thought was late. While Allen was being tended to by Bills trainers, McDermott was in the middle of the field giving an earful to officials.’
Bills rookie QB Josh Allen injures throwing elbow in loss to Texans
‘Allen shook his right hand as he ran to the huddle following his completion to Benjamin. After throwing an incompletion on the next play, Allen took a knee and was met on the field by trainers. He remained on the sideline for the remainder of the contest.’
Bills unlikely to trade RB LeSean McCoy back to Eagles
‘The Eagles believe that they have the running back depth they need, and they wouldn’t make a trade unless it was similar to their deal last year that sent a fourth-round pick to the Miami Dolphins for Jay Ajayi, according to sources.’
Bills aren’t shopping LeSean McCoy or any veterans, no longer in roster-teardown mode
‘While the Eagles did call Buffalo to briefly discuss the availability of running back LeSean McCoy, the sides never got close to a deal and the Bills are not seeking to move the running back, or veteran pass rusher Jerry Hughes, whose stellar play has also drawn the notice of contending teams. Both players are considered vital veterans on the youthful team, both are signed to team-friendly deals beyond this season, and the Bills intend to keep both.’
