Bills hit a big local TV rating for MNF game
ESPN needs to find ‘MNF’ team worthy of its legacy
‘While Tessitore is on the top tier of play-by-play men, Witten and McFarland don’t even approach the insight of Adam Archuleta, who is one of CBS’ lower level analysts.’
Bills sign WR Terrelle Pryor; Peterman may start again at QB
‘The now 29-year-old was, once upon a time, a star dual-threat quarterback at Ohio State where he passed for 6,177 yards with 57 TDs and 26 interceptions and rushed for 2,164 yards and 17 TDs. In 2010, he was runner-up to Michigan’s Denard Robinson as the Big 10 MVP.’
Pollock: From bad to worse for Bills’ offense, QBs
‘Just when we thought things couldn’t possibly get any worse for the Bills … well they did. In front of a national TV audience no less.’
The Buffalo Bills may actually start Nathan Peterman again
‘How bad have things gone for Peterman in his short NFL career? His two completions in relief of Anderson vs. the Patriots raised his career passer rating from 29.9 to 31.4. This season Peterman has completed just 41 percent of his passes (13-for-32) and has thrown four interceptions to just one touchdown pass. That one touchdown, though, might have been the best passing touchdown of the season by any Bills quarterback.’
Twitter reacts to Buffalo Bills possibly starting Nathan Peterman in Week 9
‘At this point, letting Nathan Peterman play QB is like letting your dog drive the car. No matter how badly the dog may want to do it, he just can’t.’
Buffalo Bills sign wide receiver Terrelle Pryor to 1-year deal
‘Pryor played in six games for the New York Jets this season after signing with them this past offseason. He caught 14 balls for 235 yards and two touchdowns as a weapon for New York rookie quarterback Sam Darnold. The Jets released Pryor after he suffered a slight groin tear earlier this season.’
Buffalo Bills to host QB Matt Barkley on free-agent visit (report)
‘Barkley, 28, was most recently with the Cincinnati Bengals. He signed a two-year deal with the team in March, but a knee injury in the preseason led to the Bengals placing Barkley on the injured reserve. He was released with an injury settlement in mid-September.’
Editorial: They’ll never be another No. 34 for the Buffalo Bills
‘His numbers and his importance to the success of the team are the stuff of legend, which is why, on Monday, the team rightly held a ceremony at halftime of the game against the New England Patriots to honor Thomas by officially retiring his jersey number.’
