‘”I’m used to getting the ball a lot,” McCoy said. “But when a game is getting out of hand and we’re down early we gotta throw the ball. I understand. I’ve been around the league a long time and sometimes this happens. It’s just about how the game’s going.”‘

Packers’ Aaron Rodgers says offense ‘terrible’ despite 400-plus yards vs. Bills
‘Rodgers’ frustration may have been directed at the team’s inability to put the Bills away. Late in the first half, Buffalo rookie quarterback Josh Allen was driving deep into Green Bay territory, down just 13-0 and with a chance to cut the lead before halftime. He threw an interception, and the Packers defense played well throughout, so the game was never in doubt, really.’
Report card: Buffalo Bills offense sputters versus Green Bay Packers
‘Allen doesn’t have much help around him and today’s play-calling left a lot to be desired, but Allen deserves his fair share of blame on today’s end result.’
NFL Week 4 odds, over/under: Bills open as home underdog to Titans
‘The Buffalo Bills opened as a 4.5-point underdog at home for next Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans at New Era Field after getting shut out in Week 4 by the Green Bay Packers, 22-0.’
Buffalo Bills Week 4 Report Card: Josh Allen struggles, Packers beat Bills 22-0
‘You can point the finger at Josh Allen, but offensive coordinator Brian Daboll needs to put together better game plans. The Bills need to have a more balanced attack. Daboll seems to panic when the Bills are trailing and the rushing attack disappears. Part of that could be the putrid offensive line he has to work with. But you have one of the game’s best running backs. Use him! It’s silly for the Bills not to utilize McCoy. Daboll should be feeding McCoy the ball at least 15 or 20 times a game.’
Meiler: Welcome to the Josh Allen Experience
‘The Bills did a great job containing the Green Bay offense, forcing Rodgers to make short, quick passes. But Rodgers knew what the Bills were doing and consistently found the open man, locating the ball perfectly and allowing his receivers to pick up yards after the catch. Allen had little idea what was coming at him, and the Bills’ wide receivers couldn’t get open quick enough to give him any help when he did.’

Packers put together complete effort in 22-0 win over Bills
‘But a 16-0 lead at the half was more than enough cushion against Buffalo’s feeble offense. Even the return of running back LeSean McCoy, who missed a game because of a rib injury, didn’t help the Bills (1-3).’
Bills rookie QB Josh Allen learns tough lesson at Lambeau
‘Allen accounted for three turnovers, including two interceptions and a fumble late in the fourth quarter that stood on review. He was 16 of 33 for 151 yards.’
Packers, Rodgers dominate Bills, Allen
‘The Packers dominated on both sides of the ball and built a 16-0 lead in the first half to pull away from the Bills. Green Bay was back on track after losing last week to Washington and negated any chance Buffalo had of pulling off a major upset for the second straight week.’
Allen struggles, Bills get blanked by Packers, 22-0
‘As with their other losses this season, the Bills started out poorly. Rodgers hooked up with Ty Montgomery for a 43-yard gain to set up a touchdown pass from Rodgers to Jimmy Graham from 3 yards out. Packers kicker Mason Crosby missed the extra point, leaving the score at 6-0. However, the Bills offense continued to stagger. The Packers tallied on another touchdown, as they went 9 plays to march down the field against the Bills defense that was missing Micah Hyde due to a groin injury. Aaron Jones capped off the drive with a 3-yard run to make it 13-0.’
No frozen tundra, just a frozen Bills offense
‘The offense ended up with 12 possessions and if you throw out the last two drives where they picked up garbage time passing yards, the numbers were horrendous. They went three-and-out on seven of the first 10 drives. Allen and company netted a measly 93 yards in those 10 drives. On the afternoon, the Bills ended up with just 145 yards on 56 plays, managed a frigid 19-percent conversion rate on third down and never got inside the Packers’ 20-yard line.’
Sal’s Sticks: Bills at Packers
‘A couple of these were also on Allen, but for the most part, the Bills’ offensive line was beaten badly and cleanly several times, resulting in Allen going down. The Bills came into the game tied for the league lead in sacks allowed with 14 through three games, then they gave up half that amount in just four quarters.’
Struggles return in Bills 22-0 loss to Green Bay Packers
‘The Bills defense showed some signs of life throughout the game. Jordan Poyer recorded an interception, Kyle Williams recovered a fumble and rookies Taron Johnson and Siran Neal each recorded a sack. The unit did, however, allow more than 400 yards of offense including nearly 300 yards in the air by Rodgers and company.’
Joe B: 7 observations from Buffalo Bills vs. Green Bay Packers (9/30/18)
‘The rushing offense isn’t working because the backs can’t get into space and the offensive line isn’t getting enough of a push along the five-person front. They also can’t get going because the passing offense isn’t hitting the mark outside of some short throws.’
