Bills vs. Ravens: How to watch, listen, plus things to know before kickoff
‘This is just the eighth regular-season meeting between the teams since the Ravens were formed in Baltimore in 1996. The Ravens lead the series, 4-3. This is the second time in three years the Bills are opening a season in Baltimore. In 2016, Buffalo dropped a 13-7 decision to the Ravens as the Bills’ offense managed just 11 first downs and 160 yards. LeSean McCoy, one of the few offensive players still with Buffalo, had 58 yards rushing.’
Buffalo Bills DE Trent Murphy glad to be back, rejoin his brothers
‘The pass rush wasn’t great last season. The Bills finished second to last in the league with just 27 sacks and you have to scroll all the way down to 84 in player rankings from last season to find the Bills’ leaders in sacks: Jerry Hughes and Shaq Lawson with four apiece.’
How does Buffalo Bills offense fare in Brian Daboll’s debut, and 7 more things to watch vs. Ravens
‘We’ve heard Bills players refer to Daboll as a “genius” and a “mad scientist.” Its nice to hear players praising Daboll, but the offensive coordinator will have to prove himself to the fan base. He can start on Sunday by devising a game plan that plays to Nathan Peterman’s strengths. If Peterman and the Bills can move the ball and put up points early against the Baltimore, Buffalo could leave M&T Bank Stadium with their first win of the year.’

NFL standout Micah Hyde ‘always trying to get better’
‘But while he has plenty of reasons to be proud of himself, the 27-year-old remains humble and focused on what earned him a multi-year, multi-million-dollar free agent contract from the Bills, a Pro Bowl selection in his first season with the team, and the No. 62 spot on the NFL Network’s list of 2017’s 100 best players.’
Kyle Williams, Trent Murphy ready to play in Bills’ opener
‘Neither was listed on the team’s final injury report Friday, and coach Sean McDermott says both have had a good week of practice. Williams missed two weeks after hurting his right knee against Cleveland. Murphy missed a majority of training camp with a groin injury.’

What impact will these new Bills have on Sunday plus 6 things to watch on Kickoff Weekend
‘“We in this building never lost faith in who Nate is,” General Manager Brandon Beane said this week on One Bills Live. “And I know outside just people wrote him off even in this town and obviously nationally and I know when we said it would be a quarterback competition, most people were saying that it’s a quarterback competition between AJ and Josh and they kept leaving Nate out of there”.’
Fan mailbag: What role will Marcus Murphy play against Baltimore
‘With Ray-Ray McCloud not expected to play on Sunday, the primary kick returner is Taiwan Jones. The primary punt returner is Marcus Murphy. Murphy proved himself as a return man in the preseason averaging better than 11 yards a return on punts. Jones made the roster largely due to his return game exploits. With Justin Tucker kicking off for the Ravens however, I’m not certain Jones will get many opportunities.’
Bills injury report: McCloud out for Sunday
‘Questionable for Sunday’s game is LB Julian Stanford. He’s trying to return from a nose injury suffered in the Cincinnati preseason game when a shoulder pad from an opposing player got past his face mask on a play, which led to the injury.’
Bills Today: Trent Murphy having a ‘blast’ in return from injury
‘“Just running around, cleats on, helmet on, that’s what I love to do,” Murphy said. “[I’m] happy to be out there.”‘
Bills DE Trent Murphy ‘getting a little more freedom every day’ in return from injury
‘“You always want to outwork everyone and do the most, and sometimes when you’re dealing with things like this, that’s not the right approach,” Murphy said. “It’s been solid, just day by day really. Just taking what they give me. They’ve put together a great training staff here, so I try to listen and not step out of bounds and do too much. I have to trust the process because I’m always trying to rush and rush and rush and do too much. That’s been the biggest coaching point is, ‘do what they tell you, trust the process, and you’ll be there when we need you.’ ”’
