‘The wide receiver’s stint in Buffalo was far from memorable. In his only season with the Bills, Matthews struggled on the field. He caught 25 passes for 282 yards and one touchdown in 10 games with Buffalo. Matthews dealt with injuries to his chest, thumb and knee during his 2017 campaign with the Bills.’

Buffalo Bills’ Sean McDermott has best odds to be first head coach fired
‘Although you can never say never in the NFL, it seems odd to see McDermott with the best odds of being fired among head coaches. In his first season, McDermott and the Bills exceeded all expectations and finished 9-7. The nine wins were enough for Buffalo to make the playoffs for the first time since the 1999 season. Considering the success that McDermott had in year one, it’s hard to envision the Pegulas moving on from him in year two. Realistically, McDermott’s first year bought him the time he’ll need to rebuild the roster.’
‘I’d take Bama’ over Buffalo Bills, says college football analyst Chris Childers
‘”I would say, Alabama vs. the Buffalo Bills tomorrow — that’s a single-digit score difference right there,” Aaron Murray said.’

LeSean McCoy: Bills coach weighs in on troubling new allegations
‘Bills head coach Sean McDermott told reporters Wednesday afternoon that McCoy had been “very forthcoming” about the allegations and the team had gotten “the information that we need to this point.” McDermott declined to offer any details on whether the Bills have done any investigation into the allegations about McCoy’s behavior other than speaking to him.’
David Carr: Now that Josh Allen is starting, Bills could help or hurt development
‘They have a lot of obvious issues in Buffalo – guys quitting at halftime, for instance. They also don’t have the personnel on offense right now to be successful so it’s going to be tough for Allen going through this season. But his ability to move and buy time and the fact that he’s a big guy and has a big arm, that can cover up a lot of issues.’
Bills’ McCoy says child abuse allegations are ‘ridiculous’
‘”These people honestly have so much to gain by doing this,” McCoy said after practice Wednesday. “But I’m not going to sit here and spend too much time even talking about it. It’s crazy. It’s ridiculous. Everything I do is for my little man, my son. And If I didn’t care, I wouldn’t be fighting for custody of my boy.”‘
Sean McDermott: Bills have info they need on LeSean McCoy legal case
‘”I have tons of conversations with the team, the ownership, the owners, my coaches, my head coach, my teammates,” he said. “On Sundays I wear a ‘C’ on my jersey [as a captain] for a reason. Guys trust me. They believe in me. I’m honest to them.”‘
Vontae Davis explains why he retired from the NFL in the middle of a Bills game
‘As you can imagine, Davis’ decision didn’t really sit well with anyone in the organization. One teammate called him a quitter, another teammate said it was “disrespectful.” But Davis doesn’t really care what they think.’
LeSean McCoy Accused of Child Abuse in New Affidavit Filed in Lawsuit
‘The affidavit also details how after Cordon was the victim of a home invasion at a house McCoy owns in Georgia and accused McCoy of being behind the burglary and assault, McCoy reached out to Maisonet “directly for the first time in years” and asked for help with the situation. In exchange for help, he offered to allow their son to enroll in school in Miami, which McCoy had been fighting against in their custody battle. The affidavit also claims McCoy’s mother reached out to Maisonet and asked she serve as a character witness for McCoy.’
Vontae Davis on Retirement: ‘My Intuition Was Telling Me I Don’t Belong on That Field Anymore’
‘”I didn’t feel right,” Davis told Foxworth. “I didn’t feel like myself.”‘
Vontae Davis explains abrupt mid-game retirement: ‘Football is not for me’
‘”Leaving was therapeutic, bro. I left everything the league wanted me to be, playing for my teammates while injured, the gladiator mentality, it all just popped. And when it popped, I just wanted to leave it all behind. So that’s why I don’t care what people say. That experience was personal and not meant for anyone else to understand. It was me cold turkey leaving behind an identity that I carried with me for so long.”‘
McDermott: “Nothing has changed” as far as LeSean McCoy’s status
‘On whether or not LeSean McCoy’s personal life is becoming a distraction to the team: “I don’t believe so. Number one, LeSean reached out to me yesterday and informed me if the situation, which I appreciate. He’s done everything I’ve asked him to do, and other than that nothing has really changed in terms of where we were at training camp. I’ve been pleased with the way he’s handled himself since the start of training camp and all the way through and I look forward to having him on the field this week.”’
Ledyard: “[Allen] is right where I expected he would be”
‘”Things have been moving very fast for him. He isn’t recognizing things pre-snap quite yet. He’s leaving a lot of open guys on the field, and it seems like he doesn’t want to trust his arm. You’re seeing a lot of the same issues.”‘
Davis: “I do not belong on that field anymore”
‘Davis, for the first time since his historical decision, opened up to Foxworth about what was going on in his mind in the moments that led up to him walking away from the sport he played professionally for the better part of a decade.’
