‘With that as your background, consider that Taylor was on the books for $16 million for 2018, and the Bills had massive cap issues that they’d resolved to address during the 2018 offseason. So do you hold on to Taylor at $16 million? Or do you trade him for the 65th pick in the draft?’

Allen: “I just want to do my job, trust those around me”
‘“Obviously, I’m super excited and thankful for the chance to be the starter for this team,” the Bills’ rookie quarterback told reporters this week. “This is something I’ve dreamed [of] for a very long time, but now that it’s here, just come Sunday, [I’m] just trying to do my job. I’m not trying to do too much. [I have to be able to] trust in those around me and ultimately be the quarterback that this team needs, which is, moving the ball, staying on third down and putting points on the board.”’
Allen, offense hoping for better results vs. Chargers
‘”Obviously, having a little bit of home field advantage, the field is going to be a little bit quieter on third down here than it is going to be away, so that’s always a plus,” Allen said on Wednesday. “Then, just the attitude that the guys have defending our dirt here. It’s something special [and] we take pride in it, so we’re looking forward to having our home opener here.”‘
Bills defense faces electric Chargers pass game
‘The Chargers quarterback racked up 424 yards and 3 touchdowns passing in a week one loss to the Chiefs. Bills safety Micah Hyde is aware of what Rivers brings to the table.’
Bills fans celebrate 25th anniversary of the return of iconic Shout Song
‘But decades ago, in 1993, the song disappeared briefly. And a Bills fan named Patrick Ruffino can partially be thanked for saving it. Ruffino says Polaroid bought the rights to the song, and was going to charge the stadium to use it. So, the Bills dropped the tune and tried out a new one during the preseason games that year.’
Why Josh Allen is fit for success and a fit for Buffalo
‘“The more repetitions that I get, I feel the ball comes out of the hand better,” Allen said. “When things are flowing smooth and you feel confident in your throw, in my opinion, that’s when you become a more accurate passer.”’
Scouting Report Week 2 – Bills vs. Chargers
‘Dion Dawkins vs. Melvin Ingram Two of the best athletes on the field for their size, square off in this intriguing matchup. If Bosa is out of the lineup for L.A., the Chargers may line Ingram up on the left side on early downs before flipping him to the right as they did last week. Dawkins and Ingram largely battled to a stalemate in their Week 11 matchup last season, with Ingram tallying just one quarterback hit on the day. How will round two go?’
Bills Today: Bills vets find extra motivation vs. Chargers
‘A few of Buffalo’s veterans are finding a bit of extra motivation from last year’s contest. OT Dion Dawkins feel as though the team learned from the game, as they do from every matchup.’
