‘General Manager Brandon Beane said the team’s coaching and player-personnel staffs are steadily enhancing their day-to-day work interaction with Luis Güílamo, whom the Bills hired in January.’

Bills still have least homegrown roster, rank 7th oldest in NFL
‘The Buffalo Bills still have the least homegrown roster in the NFL in 2018.’
Sean McDermott explains why Vontae Davis was inactive Sunday
‘Positional flexibility is what led the Buffalo Bills to making Vontae Davis inactive on Sunday.’
Tremaine Tracker: Breaking down Edmunds’ range tackles, impact tackles in debut
‘Introducing “Range Tackles,” which will be tackles Edmunds makes – on a run or pass play – at or outside the numbers.’
Up next for Bills: Electrifying Los Angeles Chargers and Philip Rivers
‘Los Angeles (the team played in San Diego up until last year) leads the all-time series 23-10-2, winning five of the last six games since the arrival of Philip Rivers from the great quarterback class of 2004 (Eli Manning, Ben Roethlisberger and J.P. Losman, where are you?).’
ESPN’s Bill Barnwell: Bills coach Sean McDermott will kill credibility if he starts Nathan Peterman
‘The argument Barnwell is referring to centers around what the team wants to do with rookie first-round draft pick Josh Allen. If the team wants to wait and allow Allen to watch on the sidelines as the Bills face some of the toughest defenses in the league in the early part of their schedule, then that’s understandable. But to sit Allen Buffalo has to have a viable option to start and Barnwell doesn’t believe they have one.’
Should Buffalo Bills trade LeSean McCoy? 7 teams that could use a RB
‘If the Bills want to continue with Peterman and wait on rookie quarterback Josh Allen, it might make sense for general manager Brandon Beane to move McCoy and get more assets for a 2019 draft that will likely have job security implications for the second-year executive and coach Sean McDermott.’
A look at this week’s Chargers opponent, the Buffalo Bills
‘On Sept. 1, the Bills traded McCarron to Oakland for a 2019 fifth-round pick. Eight days later, Peterman started against Buffalo. He threw 18 passes, completing five to his teammates and two to the Ravens for a passer rating of 0.0. For context, Peterman would have registered a passer rating of 39.6 if he had simply thrown every single pass into the dirt.’
Ready or not, it’s time to start Josh Allen
‘I think most people pegged McCarron as the bridge; someone who wouldn’t puke on himself (not literally) and serve as the bridge to Allen until he was ready to take over. But by allowing Peterman’s preseason performance to fool Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane into thinking this team didn’t need a veteran presence at the quarterback position, they eliminated any possibility for that to plan to work correctly.’
Who should the Bills start at QB this Sunday?
‘That’s a question we took to the streets of Buffalo. Everyone we asked, said Josh Allen.’
Joe B: Buffalo Bills All-22 Review – Week 1 vs. Baltimore Ravens
‘The best lineman from the Ravens game was left guard Vladimir Ducasse, who has been a punching bag for Bills fans on social media without cause. Ducasse took two penalties in the game, but he was the strongest one-on-one blocker against the Ravens and provided some terrific combo blocks along the way. He also was far better in 2017 than mostly given credit for by some.’
Reed Between the Lines: Allen or Peterman? The answer’s easy
‘The concern is rushing Allen. What if it leads to broken confidence and bones thanks to the offensive line? But if the Bills keep running out Peterman onto the field it could lead to a broken season and locker room.’
Producer’s Perspective: We’ve seen it before
‘What people should do is still support the team, but look for the areas where the team is improving AND where it needs improvement. I am quite sure the Bills brass would like to improve in many areas, but they are in salary cap jail for this season with more than twice as much dead money under the cap as any other NFL team. As I said, look for both the good and bad. Of course, the bad is their hands are tied when it comes to spending big money this year. But the good news is all that dead money goes away next season and the team should be free to chase one or more top free agents. That along with promising first round draft picks quarterback Josh Allen and linebacker Tremaine Edmunds among other rookies.’
Fast 4Ward: Storylines to watch Bills Vs. Chargers
‘When Josh Allen entered he fared no better, offensively, although the same arguments can be made he wasn’t helped by the offensive line or his receivers as he was sacked three times and had Kelvin Benjamin drop a touchdown in the back of the endzone.’
Former Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson to “Lead the Charge” at Bills home opener
‘Johnson posted on Twitter on Tuesday that he can’t wait to be back at New Era Field with the Bills Mafia.’
