‘Coach McDermott had high praise for rookie middle linebacker Tremaine Edmunds, “he flashed throughout the game, and I really appreciate the way he played in particular once things settled down, there was a lot going on especially in the beginning of the game, I think it snowballed a little bit, and that’s hard to pull yourself out of, to calm down, especially as a signal caller on the defense to get everybody lined up, communicate effectively, and play well yourself, and play fast, and for a young player to do that, really bodes well for his future.”‘

‘Well I think when we look at the tape, and what I’ve looked at to this point, I’ve been through this a couple times already, we all have to do our job better. Whether it’s the quarterback position or my position, just to name two of them, but you could go around our team and say that with all three phases, we didn’t play well enough to win the football game. Not even close. So, a lot of feedback that is important. Valuable feedback to us early in the season, which is important and valuable for us as we move forward. It allows us to be decisive in some areas and go forward with a great learning opportunity for our young football team.’
