‘No. 1 wide receiver is just as likely to line up in the slot as he is on the outside; LeSean McCoy spends quite a bit of time lined up as a pass catcher; and Daboll has had his receivers on a conveyor belt subbing in and out with the first team. The new offense will be something for fans to watch all preseason.’

Buffalo Bills announce four episode video series to air on Facebook Watch
‘According to Mark Preisler, Pegula Sports and Entertainment’s executive vice president of media and content, the video series will take fans from the first day of training camp practice all the way through final cuts as the team prepares for their Week 1 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.’
Training camp: Bills defense thrives on take-aways
‘The Bills’ defense recorded 18 interceptions last season (tied for sixth in the league), with 14 coming from rookie cornerback Tre’Davious White, and starting safeties Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer. Their 14 allowed passing touchdowns last season (second-lowest in the league) can also largely be credited to the secondary.’
Robert Foster looking to prove himself in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills
‘“I just want to prove that I can compete at the next level and that I have the same amount of ability as the rest of the receivers that were drafted between the first and seventh rounds,” Foster said. “My goal is to prove everyone wrong, continue to work hard, and count my blessings.”’
Bills players got to meet with officials about the new rules
‘“The hard thing about it is it always seems like it’s the onus of the defender not to do it. You can have a runningback running through and he dips, so you lower because this is a game of leverage, so I’m lowering and if I still hit him with my facemask and you have it at a certain angle you may think I dropped my head, but they look at it on film and say, “No, that’s a good play,’ but it’s a 15 yard penalty and that could’ve hurt the team.”’
McCoy gives high praise to Edmunds as rookie shines on Thursday
‘After practice I asked Edmunds to walk me through the play. McCoy, walking nearby, overheard the conversation and came over. He said with a smile, “I want to hear what he says.” Edmunds diplomatically praised the 30-year old running back for how great of a player he is and how going against him makes the entire defense better. Before McCoy walked away he looked at the group of reporters interviewing Edmunds and said, “Something I will say this about him,” looking at his teammate. “In about two years, he’s going to be one of the best players in the league, for real.”’
Phillips: ‘I never understood mediocrity or complacency’
‘“I remember growing up, how much it meant to me to talk to athletes. I was in middle school and the Millard West starting quarterback, he was everything, and there was a D-lineman there who probably never even went on to play in college, but I just thought the world of him,” recalled the Omaha, Nebraska native. “I just hoped that when I got to that platform, those kids were doing the same thing I was doing. Anytime I can go back and tell them the same message they’ve been hearing somebody else, maybe they’d be more willing to listen because of who it came from.”’
The 3-2-1
‘One play, and it’s not something to build an offense around… but it stuck with me. McCarron might win the job to start because he can be relied upon to make some easier plays and “not get you beat”. Once Allen goes in, it’ll be a ride… and I’d bet the Bills are hoping he gets opportunities just like that play.’
Joe B: 7 observations from 2018 Buffalo Bills training camp – Day 7
‘McCarron led the first-team offense out on the field for the second straight day, which makes a rather significant statement from head coach Sean McDermott about the state of the quarterback competition at the moment.’

New baby on the way for Bills quarterback
‘The couple are already the proud parents of 2-year-old Tripp, who was spotted with his father at training camp earlier this week.’
The ‘mad scientist’: Brian Daboll’s ever-evolving offense
‘”Whenever coach McDermott goes up and talks about something, he’s taking notes,” rookie Josh Allen said. “Then we get out on the field and he’s like ‘this is a situation I haven’t seen in a very long time so we have to go over this and that.”‘
5 Questions: Wyatt Teller
‘The ACC officials would call me ‘hugs.’ When you’re young and you don’t know how to use your hands, you just torque them to the ground. Once I calmed down a little bit and used my hands a little bit better, I worked on it hard in college and it shows.’
Brian Daboll’s magic mind thrills Bills offense
‘”It’s an evolving process,” said Daboll. “You find out what guys do well, what guys struggle with, who is doing what, where you want to put the person, what one of the quarterbacks feels comfortable with versus another.”‘
Refs training, learning host of new rules
‘The reception from Bills players was congenial, according to Smith. Many of the questions were about the league’s new targeting and use of helmet rules.’
