‘Bills general manager Brandon Beane says McCoy is in camp and “ready to roll,” and doesn’t foresee that changing based on conversations the team’s had with the NFL, which is holding its own investigation into the allegations.’

McCoy vows not to be distracted by investigation
‘”I’ve been through a lot and I’m still here,” said McCoy at an impromptu press conference before the Bills’ first practice, per the team’s official website. “All I can really do is train hard and not let anything distract me. That would be cheating my teammates.”‘
Bills expect LeSean McCoy ‘to be here and ready to roll,’ GM says
‘He deflected several questions about the incident during the news conference, saying he wanted to keep his focus on football. McCoy cited an “open investigation” but did not directly address whether he was a subject of the probe.’
Bills, LeSean McCoy express confidence that running back will avoid suspension
‘”Right now, it’s an open investigation, so I’ll leave it at that,” McCoy said. “That’s what’s going on right now. But right now, my main focus is here with my teammates, my team, trying to build together in camp to reach our goal together, and that’s a championship. I’ll let (the investigation) take care of itself and right now I’m just being supported with my teammates.”‘
Allen looks solid early-on, inconsistent late
‘Working exclusively with the third team offense any time it was offense versus defense, Allen even showed off a very nice play-fake, then floated a pass to a wide open Patrick DiMarco as the fullback was headed up the right sideline. After the play, offensive coordinator Brian Daboll had a big smile on his face and he and his QB exchanged fist pumps.’
Bills GM Beane, coach McDermott spoke with media before start of camp
‘”We’re not thinking hypotheticals. LeSean is here, we’re focused on him being here. We feel comfortable that LeSean is going to be here and ready to roll. We don’t see that changing.””
Report: Bills worked out running back Orleans Darkwa
‘Darkwa has spent most of his career with the New York Giants, seeing his most significant playing time last season. Starting in 11-games, Darkwa rushed for 751 yards and five touchdowns. He added 19 receptions for 116 yards in the pass game. Described as a good between the tackles back, Darkwa has shown so far in his career that he’s more balanced than once thought. While not overly dangerous as a receiver, he certainly can give you something in the pass game.’
Joe B: 7 observations from 2018 Buffalo Bills training camp – Day 1
‘However, it is quite hard to ignore the simple fact that as compared to Nathan Peterman and A.J. McCarron, it isn’t even close as to who has the most natural talent on the field of the quarterbacks.’

‘You’ll see in some positions I didn’t see enough to warrant placing a player in a certain spot, but the best that I’ve got from what I gathered during the actual practice.’
McDermott: No real timeline to name starter as QB battle begins
‘Nathan Peterman and A.J. McCarron will take the majority of the first and second team reps while rookie Josh Allen, for now, start with the third team offense and occasionally work in with the first team as the Bills continue to ease him along with his development.’
McCoy at training camp, focused on football
‘”We’ve communicated with (NFL) and we’re comfortable with LeSean being here. We don’t see that changing,” Beane said. “We have a good understanding it’s a police investigation. We feel comfortable with where it’s at and you’ll see LeSean here.’
Bills sign DT John Hughes to 1-year contract
‘Hughes entered the league as a third round pick by the Browns in 2012. He played one season in Tampa Bay in 2016 and suited up for New Orleans last year. Over the past two seasons however, Hughes has only played in 13 games. He’s looking to bounce back after suffering a torn bicep in late December.’
Up-and-down debut for Josh Allen at Bills training camp
‘”I felt it went OK. Obviously, I always focus on what went badly in practice and there are a few throws that got away from me,” said Allen. “It’s a lot of moving parts in an offense and for an offense to work great, the quarterback has to know what he’s doing. That’s what me, Nate [Peterman], and AJ [McCarron] are looking forward to doing which is learn this offense so we can go out, know what we’re doing, throw the ball on time and let our playmakers make plays.’
McCoy addressed media, not investigation
‘When asked repeatedly about the case, McCoy got a little agitated, telling reporters, “I just told, everything’s geared on football. I’m here to talk about anything football-related.”‘
Brandon Beane 1 on 1
‘”There is a method to the madness of what we’re doing. It’s building a family, building a culture. The teams that know how to deal with (adversity) best… if you have (the culture) right, those teams survive the bumps,” he said.’
