‘“I mean last year I couldn’t even bend. I couldn’t bend my right leg… it was bad,” said Benjamin. “It was to the point where I was always kind of second guessing myself. I was asking McDermott if I should even play… but I would always try and give it my all.”’

AFC East offseason update: Dolphins counting on Tannehill’s return, culture change
‘Something’s going to give with Tannehill, even if it isn’t his surgically repaired knee giving out. Either he delivers, or the Dolphins will do much more than flirt with the possibility of finding his replacement. The other storyline to watch is Gase. He did a lot of purging, and the pressure is on for positive results to show – especially if Landry, Suh, and Pouncey excel with their new clubs.’
Three Weeks Until Bills Training Camp, Three Questions on the Bills
‘”Who’s the quarterback, though?” Come on, everyone knows this was going to be the top question surrounding the Bills.’
Camp Countdown: No. 21 Who will be the nickel corner?
‘“You just focus on what you can do,” said Gaines. “You never really want to look at what this person or that person is doing. You just put your best out there and whatever happens, happens. You can’t go into the situation worrying about someone else. You just take care of yourself and let the chips fall where they may.”’
Catching up with rest of AFC East: Patriots should overcome drama, Edelman suspension
‘Never mind all of the supposed acrimony between the fun-crushing Belichick and his most vital pieces, Brady (rumored to be retiring) and Gronkowski (rumored to be on the trading block). It made for lively offseason filler for the media, but carries little in the way of substance. The Patriots are still the Patriots. They’re still worthy of being favored to not only win the division, but play in back-to-back Super Bowls … and win.’
As the Bills get ready for training camp, here are 10 questions they need to answer
‘In reality, that’s when the Bills should be looking for Allen to be the man. The blueprint to be followed was the Rams’ timetable for Jared Goff. He became the starter late in his 2016 rookie year with the Rams going nowhere, endured some massive struggles, but got much of that out of the way and had a very nice 2017 season.’
Camp Countdown: No. 22 – What should be expected from Tremaine Edmunds?
‘“His ability to gather information and then transfer it to the field has been very similar with what we saw with Tre’Davious (White),” said Leslie Frazier. “You don’t have some of the concerns that you ordinarily would have with most rookies because of that. Their ability to process information and then handle it in game situations or practice situations at this point… it’s pretty impressive.”’
Bills Position Preview: Special teams
‘The rules are designed to make the kickoff return function more like a punt return, removing the high-speed collisions among players. The hope is the change significantly reduces concussions. The rule was approved at the spring owners meeting on a one-year basis.’
Bills Player Spotlight: Stephen Hauschka provides security
‘Hauschka made 29 of 33 field-goal tries for the Bills, including seven of 50 yards or more, which led the NFL and was a Buffalo team record.’
AFC offseason catch-up: Who improved? Who slid back? Who stayed the same?
‘Putting them here is not a knock on the selection of Josh Allen with the seventh overall pick, even if the former Wyoming star is as raw as they come. In fact, GM Brandon Beane and coach Sean McDermott are to be commended for the organization’s rare display of aggressiveness to trade up to get a potential franchise QB. The problem is the major hits their offensive line took with the retirement of center Eric Wood and the retirement-turned-release of guard Richie Incognito. Those holes weren’t sufficiently plugged, nor were some substantial ones at wide receiver.’
Ranking the Buffalo Bills’ 15 most important players for 2018 | Where is Josh Allen?
‘Vlad Ducasse may not be one of the Bills’ best 15 players, but he’s certainly one of the team’s most important players in 2018. Ducasse started 12 games last season at right guard and actually played pretty well. After showing some consistency and quality play last season, Ducasse’s role will be even more important in 2018. The veteran is being moved to left guard to replace Richie Incognito. The left side of Buffalo’s offensive line had been its strength the last few seasons. For that to continue, Ducasse will need to build off of his 2017 season.’
Bills RB McCoy: ‘I have more to prove’
‘”I think I’ve tightened up on my diet. The easy thing is putting the weight on, it’s hard to get it off, being in my 10th year,” McCoy said.’
John Kryk: (Beane) said that Colin Kaepernick would be a distraction
‘”I asked Brandon Beane: ‘What’s a Buffalo Bills Player?’ That’s when he went into that they research every person that they draft and they don’t want anybody who’s gonna be a distraction, and that’s when he said that Colin Kaepernick would be a distraction.”‘
Camp Countdown: No. 23 – Who will be the primary returner?
‘Clay will look to impact both the punt return and kick return teams, as he has throughout his career. He has two career punt return touchdowns, including one such return last season in Carolina. Although he has not yet taken a kickoff back for a touchdown, Clay has a career kickoff average of 23.2. He summarized his readiness to compete for a roster spot.’
Buffalo Bills LB Tremaine Edmunds was close to being a Miami Dolphin on draft night
‘The Bills lucked out with Miami opting to address the safety position. In doing so, Edmunds fell to pick 16 where Buffalo traded up for the linebacker. As it turned out, Buffalo made their move for Edmunds at the right time. If the Bills had not traded up to pick 16, the Los Angeles Chargers were prepared to take him with the No. 17 pick in the draft.’
