‘During offseason workouts, McDermott and offensive coordinator Brian Daboll utilized a quarterback rotation that mainly saw McCarron and Peterman alternate between the Nos. 1 and 2 spots before Allen, who had primarily been at No. 3, got some work as a starter in the final practices. The experimental nature of those sessions allows for a good deal of mixing and matching, which also took place on the offensive line and other positions.’

Lawyer: Ex-girlfriend ‘absolutely thinks’ McCoy had role in home invasion, assault
‘“I mentioned that I had a conversation with our client about the ‘criminal burden of proof,’ which is a higher standard than a civil burden of proof, and ‘probable cause’ – legal terms,” she said. “At this time, there is circumstantial evidence, which is not significant enough probable cause for an arrest; so, I said you can’t blame Mr. McCoy without additional evidence.’
Jay Skurski’s Bills Mailbag: Training camp predictions for sleepers, MVP
‘Rookie undrafted receiver Robert Foster. The Alabama product played last year for new Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll with the Crimson Tide. He has the size and speed NFL teams covet at the position – 6-foot-2 and 196 pounds. He plays a position that is crying out for someone to step up and earn a job. Honorable mention goes to his Alabama teammate, Levi Wallace. That’s partly because I love his story of going from a walk-on to a starter in what is always a loaded Alabama secondary. There aren’t as many jobs up for grabs at cornerback, though, so Foster gets the edge.’
Editorial: Jim Kelly shows his stuff — again
‘The procedures have compromised Kelly’s ability to speak, but anyone who has followed his career knows that “compromise” is not part of his vocabulary. Kelly’s five-minute speech held an audience of star athletes and other celebrities transfixed. The basketball star Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was among those who sprang to their feet to give him a standing ovation.’
Buffalo Bills’ front office should not act until LeSean McCoy is charged with a crime
‘But the Bills, players’ union and the league can’t afford to do that, and are right to take a wait-and-see posture.’
Chicken wings and folding tables: Meet new Bills beat reporter Matt Parrino
‘I’m returning to Buffalo after four years in Las Vegas writing and doing video for UFC.com. I bring home a deeper understanding for digital media, and I hope to offer new and exciting content from a fresh perspective.’
LeSean McCoy’s ex-girlfriend ‘absolutely thinks’ he had role in robbery, assault: lawyer
‘”I mentioned that I had a conversation with our client about the ‘criminal burden of proof,’ which is a higher standard than a civil burden of proof, and ‘probably cause’ — legal terms,” she told The Buffalo News. “At this time, there is circumstantial evidence, which is not significant enough probable cause for an arrest; so, I said you can’t blame Mr. McCoy without additional evidence.”‘
Countdown to Bills Camp: The Linebackers
‘The Bills have promise at linebacker. It starts with Edmunds, the exciting rookie with tons of potential to be a key for the defense for years to come. In addition to Edmunds, Milano poised to be a full time starter, but questions will rise about if the 6′, 223 lb. Milano can handle the rigors of being a regular starter. If Milano needs help in the rotation, Humber can take snaps for Milano as well, proving he can be a spot starter in Sean McDermott’s defense. Alexander continues to impress with his capabilities (15.5 sacks in two years with Buffalo) as his career continues on. If the starters, especially Edmunds, can stay healthy, expect more from the linebackers and an improvement on their run defense. They’ll be able to thank the likes of another new addition, defensive tackle Star Lotulelei, for being able to absorb blocks and clear lanes for the linebackers.’
When does Allen start?
‘Sean McDermott being the process oriented guy that he is, I decided to bet on the idea that he and his coaching staff would want to take their time with Allen. You don’t want to rush something this important. How important is giving Allen every chance to be successful to McDermott and general manager Brandon Beane? Well, consider how many guys in their gigs get a second shot at drafting their franchise quarterback. It rarely happens. Fair or not, it usually works like this. Get it right and you’re set for life, or a good 10-15 years. Blow it and nice try, thanks for all you’ve done for the team but we’re going in a different direction.’
Training Camp Preview: Defensive Backs
‘Bills head coach Sean McDermott said, “yeah you do see a nice bond developing between Tre’Davious, to your point, and Vontae; you watch them on the sideline on a knee, talking through the defense, getting a good feel with Micah [Hyde] and Jordan [Poyer] out there as well and then our nicklebacks. You’re starting to see the signs of that moving forward.”‘
Training Camp Preview: Defensive Line
‘”At 35-years old I still enjoy going out there and practicing football and getting after it and competing with the guys and I don’t know if that will ever die, but I’m in a really good place”, Williams said.’
Camp Countdown – No. 7 – Who are the training camp sleepers?
‘WR Robert Foster: The undrafted rookie is a receiver who certainly has the physical skills to make plays, as evidenced by his play in the spring practices. The Alabama product was routinely getting behind defensive backs for big plays during OTAs and minicamp. The question is will it continue when the pads go on. If so, Foster could add a much needed big-play element to Buffalo’s passing game.’
