‘His mother, Trina, came from a family of athletes known as the Broadways, and the Broadways had a reputation for it around Sacramento. Her father was heavily involved in football, her three brothers played football, her and her twin sister, Tina, were well-known track athletes, and Trina even was a cheerleader, too.’

Why Brian Daboll’s approach is making a difference in Buffalo
‘“He’s a guy I’ve been around,” said Charles Clay, who was a wide-eyed rookie with the Dolphins back in 2011 when Daboll was Miami’s offensive coordinator. “He’s a very fun, energetic guy. A great teacher first and foremost. It can be a lot of volume sometimes, but he does a great job teaching. Those relationships he builds makes him a lot of fun to be around.”’
100 Bills roster facts 100 days from kickoff Sunday
‘The longest tenured Buffalo Bills player, Kyle Williams, will be entering his 13th season with the team.’
Bills Today: CBS Sports NFL analyst optimistic about the Bills future
‘“Since [Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott] got here, [they] have been very willing to be bold, and aggressive, and proactive,” said La Canfora, “And [they made] a series of moves to end up with what they did in the first round, [and it has] has the potential to reshape this franchise for a decade or more to come.”’
With injury behind him, Bills WR Rod Streater looking for some deja vu
‘”I obviously wanted to play last year, but it gave me a whole year to heal up,” he said. “I didn’t want to go out there and run a route and mess it up even more. Then I would be really messed up. Everything worked out. I healed up. I’m able to run now. I feel great. I just want to continue off what I did last year.”’
Bills Notebook: Eric Wood officially released, Josh Allen has up-and-down day
‘The timing of the move is significant. By releasing Wood before June 1, the Bills actually take a bigger hit on the salary cap than they would have if he played this season, but guarantee that he will be off the books in 2019, when the team’s cap situation will be much more favorable.’
Sean McDermott invites local high school coaches to get a sideline view of his process
‘More than 50 coaches from Section VI and the Monsignor Martin High School Athletic Association accepted McDermott’s invitation to observe an OTA practice from the sidelines. McDermott also opened one of last week’s sessions to local college coaches.’
Wyatt Teller’s Taco Bell binges are probably over as he begins his Buffalo Bills career
‘Fortunately for the 6-foot-4, 314-pound Teller, regularly ingesting that gastrointestinal time bomb has not hindered his path to the NFL, mainly because as a weight room fanatic, Teller was able to disintegrate those calories. So, imagine what that same work ethic, in conjunction with proper nutrition, might be do for the 23-year-old rookie in his quest to win a starting job on the Bills’ offensive line.’
At this stage of Bills’ offseason, it’s all about learning and progressing for Brian Daboll
‘“With every player you have, that’s our job as the coach; tell them how to do it, show them how to do it, and accept no excuses,” Daboll said. “Our job is to go back and evaluate it and give them some type of correction to help them improve. Give them some type of feedback to help them be a better player. The biggest thing for a coach is to be truthful, don’t sugarcoat things; if it wasn’t done the proper way, point out the reason why and give them a better way to do it.”’
Buffalo Bills OTAs observations Week 2: Josh Allen up and down, AJ McCarron solid
‘The offensive line looked much like it did a week ago. Left to right, the Bills had Dion Dawkins, Vlad Ducasse, Russell Bodine, John Miller and Jordan Mills. Rookie Wyatt Teller did get a rep when Ducasse committed a false start. Ryan Groy was the second-team center, while Conor McDermott got a look at left tackle with the second team and Marshall Newhouse got reps at guard. The Bills have said there will be some shuffling along the line, but so far, it’s been steady.’
Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen is blowing people away, says Chris Simms
‘”They’re just blown away,” said Simms. “It’s the coaches, the players, everybody. It’s one of those type of things again where I thought about Carson Wentz when I first heard it. Because those are the things I heard in Philadelphia. And I can remember Fletcher Cox actually telling my dad like, ‘No, no when Carson is out there, the defense kind of gets up and watches him cause we’re always like damn, that was unbelievable.’ And I’m hearing those same type of things from Josh Allen. It’s wowing on all levels right now.”‘
Buffalo Bills releasing Eric Wood, eating big cap hit in 2018
‘”Sorry for the delay. Thank you to everyone who came out today. This press conference was set up a couple of weeks ago, in light of me finding out about the injury an hour before my son Garrett was born. As many of you already know given the leak on Friday, Dr. Cappuccino has informed me I will no longer be able to play football given the neck injury. Even with further treatment, rehab or surgery, a return is not possible. In Week 5 I got the first stinger of my life, and I got one the following week. After that game, we did an X-ray on my neck that showed no significant damage. After the season, as part of the exit physical, we got an MRI that revealed a disc that was dangerously close to my spinal cord at C2, C3. That was alarming.’
Daboll focused on Bills offense, not Buffalo homecoming
‘It’s a career in which Daboll has won five Super Bowl titles as an assistant during two separate stints with the New England Patriots. And he’s coming off a season in which he oversaw a run-heavy Crimson Tide offense that helped Alabama win the national title.’
Buffalo Bills release center Eric Wood
‘Wood declined to comment on being released by the Bills in a text to The AP. Wood did say he’s planning to attend Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly’s annual charitable auction and golf tournament in Buffalo this weekend.’
Bills QB Allen ends OTAs on high note
‘”It’s always good to bounce back,” said Allen. “I saw what I saw and the corner came out and made a good play. I was able to get another drive and go out there with the younger guys and was able to put together a drive and score.’
