‘Allen’s accuracy is kind of a strange thing. I don’t buy into the arguments that if he just would’ve gotten the freebies on screens and whatnot that his percentage would’ve been over 60 percent, if only because he wasn’t particularly accurate on screen passes. Strangely, on many of the more challenging throws, long out routes for example, he’d put the ball on a dime with as much precision as you could ever hope for. Then he would throw over a guy’s head on the wheel route. I’m no quarterback guru, but to me it looks like it’s just a matter of learning to rein in that arm, which I believe is probably a teachable thing.’

Foster: Hard not to root for Josh Allen after what he did at Wyoming
‘And then, on top of all that, you’ve got the backstory. It’s a story that’s been run into the ground at this point, but only because it’s a good one. No offers out of a middle-of-nowhere high school, two offers out of JUCO, broken collarbone in his first Division-I start. It’s weird to say, as he now possesses physical gifts nearly unmatched among quarterbacks, but this is a kid that could’ve called it quits long before he walked on that stage last Thursday in Arlington, Texas.’
Q&A with Buffalo Bills beat writer Matthew Fairburn
‘I would say the initial reaction was negative. During the pre-draft process, it seemed a portion of the fan base latched on to the group think with Josh Allen and obsessed over his flaws. So when he was the pick, there were some upset people. Just look at the replies to the Bills’ tweet announcing the pick. But I can already see Bills fans coming around to the pick. Allen seems like a guy who is going to connect well with the fans here, and it never takes long for Bills fans to talk themselves into a player once he’s wearing blue and red.’
NFL to contact Bills regarding team president’s resignation
‘Two people with direct knowledge of the situation told The Associated Press that Brandon’s resignation came after he was confronted about the relationship by the Pegulas. The people spoke on condition of anonymity because it is an internal matter, and the Pegulas did not provide a reason when announcing they accepted Brandon’s resignation.’
Report: NFL to look into Brandon’s depature from Bills
‘The NFL is planning to look into the circumstances that led the Buffalo Bills to part ways with managing partner and president Russ Brandon, the Buffalo News reported Thursday.’
Report: Bills expected to hire Dan Morgan to front office position
‘Morgan has familiarity with Bills’ general manager Brandon Beane. He was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the first round in 2001 out of Miami (FL) while Beane was working in the team’s football operations department. Morgan played in Carolina for the next seven seasons before being released and retiring prior to the 2008 season.’
Capaccio: What to expect from each of the Bills’ 2018 draft picks
‘I don’t expect him to be the opening day starter in Baltimore, but I certainly wouldn’t discount it and think somehow, someway, at some point, he starts in 2018.’
NFL and NHL Deciding on Further Action for Russ Brandon
‘News 4 Sports’ Nick Filipowski received a statement from the NFL on Brandon, stating, “We will discuss the matter with the club and make a decision in the next few days about what, if any, further steps we will take.”‘
New Bills president Kim Pegula responds to concern over training camp’s future
‘We really enjoy our summers at training camp at St. John Fisher and the relationship we continue to have with the school. We have four years remaining on our current agreement with them and preparations are already underway for camp this summer. Rochester is an important market for the Bills, our entire company, and for me personally, being that it’s my hometown.’
How Bills Draft Picks Will Impact the Roster
‘“The great thing for Josh is that bringing A.J. [McCarron] here, who has NFL experience, who has won at every level he’s been at except the pros because he’s been mainly a backup, and then I think Nathan Peterman, he’s not scared of the challenge so I think that’ll give Josh the time to come in and learn from these guys. There’s going to be competition. There’s going to be a very competitive room in there.”’
Bills Today: Tre’ White eager to learn from Vontae Davis
‘“I’m trying to work with [Davis],” said White. “Any time you’ve been in the league for 10 years, you’ve been a Pro Bowler multiple times and All-Pro, I want to learn from you. I’m a young guy still, so I want to see how I can last in this game a long time. He’s so smart in knowing the terminology and football and just knowing what receivers are going to do.”
Pollock: Brandon’s exit wisely staged by Kim Pegula
‘That sounds reasonable enough … but even Brandon can’t put lipstick on this pig.’
Memory of late mother inspires new Bills CB Taron Johnson
‘“I really didn’t understand what happened at that time,” Johnson told the Sacramento Bee in January. I remember there was a time she was fine, then she went to the hospital, and I thought I’d see her, but I didn’t know she was that sick, didn’t understand.’
Bills to hold rookie minicamp May 11-12
‘The Bills are currently in Phase Two of their offseason program. That consists of on-field workouts, which includes individual player instruction and drills as well as team practices conducted on a “separates” basis. No live contact or offense vs. defense drills are permitted.’
Kim Pegula wielding unprecedented power, faces heavy lift with Bills, Sabres
‘The Pegulas have a residence in Boca Raton, Fla. Will they spend more time in Buffalo, given the significant tax benefits to being primary residents of Florida? Kim uses videoconferencing to communicate with PSE staff when she isn’t in town.’
