‘Morgan, 39, is currently the director of pro personnel for the Seattle Seahawks. A former first-round pick of the Panthers in 2001, he played seven seasons in Carolina. His time there overlapped with Bills General Manager Brandon Beane, who was a member of the Panthers’ front office.’

Pegulas used personal attorneys to investigate Brandon
‘Having investigations handled by outside attorneys is not uncommon in the business world, but the situation was particularly sensitive in this case. Gregg Brandon, Russ’ brother, is executive vice president and general counsel for Pegula Sports and Entertainment. Gregg Brandon is expected to remain with the organization, a Bills source said.’

Sean Kirst: Pancho Billa’s NFL Draft moment was one for Bills fans everywhere

Buffalo Bills set to hire Dan Morgan away from Seahawks for front office role

What are the Buffalo Bills getting in Josh Allen? Q&A with Wyoming writer Brandon Foster
‘Allen’s accuracy is kind of a strange thing. I don’t buy into the arguments that if he just would’ve gotten the freebies on screens and whatnot that his percentage would’ve been over 60 percent, if only because he wasn’t particularly accurate on screen passes. Strangely, on many of the more challenging throws, long out routes for example, he’d put the ball on a dime with as much precision as you could ever hope for. Then he would throw over a guy’s head on the wheel route. I’m no quarterback guru, but to me it looks like it’s just a matter of learning to rein in that arm, which I believe is probably a teachable thing.’
Foster: Hard not to root for Josh Allen after what he did at Wyoming
‘And then, on top of all that, you’ve got the backstory. It’s a story that’s been run into the ground at this point, but only because it’s a good one. No offers out of a middle-of-nowhere high school, two offers out of JUCO, broken collarbone in his first Division-I start. It’s weird to say, as he now possesses physical gifts nearly unmatched among quarterbacks, but this is a kid that could’ve called it quits long before he walked on that stage last Thursday in Arlington, Texas.’
Q&A with Buffalo Bills beat writer Matthew Fairburn
‘I would say the initial reaction was negative. During the pre-draft process, it seemed a portion of the fan base latched on to the group think with Josh Allen and obsessed over his flaws. So when he was the pick, there were some upset people. Just look at the replies to the Bills’ tweet announcing the pick. But I can already see Bills fans coming around to the pick. Allen seems like a guy who is going to connect well with the fans here, and it never takes long for Bills fans to talk themselves into a player once he’s wearing blue and red.’
NFL to contact Bills regarding team president’s resignation
‘Two people with direct knowledge of the situation told The Associated Press that Brandon’s resignation came after he was confronted about the relationship by the Pegulas. Report: Bills expected to hire Dan Morgan to front office position
‘Morgan has familiarity with Bills’ general manager Brandon Beane. He was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the first round in 2001 out of Miami (FL) while Beane was working in the team’s football operations department. Morgan played in Carolina for the next seven seasons before being released and retiring prior to the 2008 season.’
Capaccio: What to expect from each of the Bills’ 2018 draft picks
‘I don’t expect him to be the opening day starter in Baltimore, but I certainly wouldn’t discount it and think somehow, someway, at some point, he starts in 2018.’
NFL and NHL Deciding on Further Action for Russ Brandon
‘News 4 Sports’ Nick Filipowski received a statement from the NFL on Brandon, stating, “We will discuss the matter with the club and make a decision in the next few days about what, if any, further steps we will take.”‘
New Bills president Kim Pegula responds to concern over training camp’s future
‘We really enjoy our summers at training camp at St. John Fisher and the relationship we continue to have with the school. We have four years remaining on our current agreement with them and preparations are already underway for camp this summer. Rochester is an important market for the Bills, our entire company, and for me personally, being that it’s my hometown.’
