‘While perhaps not a total shock, right tackle Jordan Mills, 27, could certainly be on the chopping block ahead of the 2018 season. Last season, the Bills drafted Dion Dawkins to take Mills’ job. Dawkins was given a chance to beat out Mills but didn’t. Once Cordy Glenn went down with foot/ ankle injuries, Dawkins jumped over to left tackle and excelled. For the second-straight season, the Bills are trying to replace Mills, this time via free agency. Right tackle veteran Marshall Newhouse signed a one-year deal with the Bills and the two will likely battle it out for the starting job. Financially, it could make sense, too. Mills has a base salary of $1.5 million and a cap hit of $2.1 million. A Mills cut only carries a $550,000 dead cap hit and he only has one year left on his contract.’
