‘”I think I’m the hottest guy in Buffalo right now,” Dalton joked to the media on Monday. “According to my Twitter, I think everybody’s loving us right now. Obviously that’s a crazy fan base, and they’re all pretty excited.”‘

Bills’ playoff berth snaps longest postseason drought in pro American sports
‘Here’s a look at some of the longest active postseason droughts across all major sports (Bills fans, note Buffalo’s absence after almost two decades of disappointment)…’.
Bills playoff drought ends thanks to tiebreaker that hadn’t been used since 2010
‘The next tiebreaker is based on strength of victory. The Bills finished the season with a .396 strength of victory, which gave them the sixth spot over the Ravens, who finished with a .299 strength of victory. Getting into the playoffs based on the strength of victory tiebreaker doesn’t happen often. Before this year, the last team to qualify for the postseason based on strength of victory was Green Bay. In 2010, the Packers edged the Giants for the final spot in the NFC, and here’s the good news for Buffalo: Green Bay went on to win the Super Bowl that year.’
Bengals earn Sean McDermott’s thanks, wings from Bills for Buffalo playoff berth
‘How exactly the Bills are planning to give the Bengals their free wings — hopefully they aren’t going to buy wings and then ship them to Cincinnati, because that sounds awful — is unknown, but it’s a nice gesture. It’s not everyday you break your historic playoff drought thanks to a heroic touchdown by Andy Dalton and Tyler Boyd of all players. So, wings (and more than a few drinks) seems like an appropriate way to celebrate.’
Bills’ McDermott: LeSean McCoy is ‘going to have a chance’ to play in Round 1
‘Jacksonville has one of the NFL’s best defenses and the Bills will be operating at a serious disadvantage if they do not have their best offensive player on the field for the game. Much of the responsibility for creating points will fall to Tyrod Taylor and the passing game, which has been the weaker part of Buffalo’s offense all season — and even then, McCoy was a huge part of the team’s pass offense.’
Bills fans flooding Andy Dalton’s foundation with donations after making playoffs
‘According to the Bills, the first 150 folks who donated to Dalton’s foundation — details of which you can find here, the Daltons’ goal is “to provide daily support, opportunities, resources and life-changing experiences to seriously ill and physically challenged children and their families in Cincinnati and Fort Worth” — managed to generate more than $3,000 in donations for the Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation.’
Bills sign Streater to reserves / futures contract
‘Streater had a heck of a training camp, and many believed he was one of, if not, the most consistent receiver in camp. At the time, Streater provided vertical speed the Bills didn’t have. Deonte Thompson now fills that role, but Streater could give some depth to that spot down the line.’
McDermott: ‘This team personifies the city of Buffalo’
‘On watching the Ravens lose, after beating Miami: “I think it was a neat environment to be a part of with our team. Being able to watch the final moments of the Bengals game knowing how important that was for us to get in and needing that game. And then just to experience the reception we got when we came home.”‘
Wood is ready to face Dareus, Marrone, and the Jaguars
‘On playing against his former coach Doug Marrone: “I don’t think we need any extra incentive this week. The passion will come regardless of the circumstances. So many on our team have no affiliation to Doug Marrone.”‘
Tyler Boyd, strength of victory, and other drought notes
‘I’m not sure the Bills are any better a team than they’ve been the last three seasons. Their final point differential of minus-57 is their worst since 2012; from 2014-2016 the Bills were always in the positives. By point differential the Bills are one of the worst-ever playoff teams. However, teams at the “top” of that list happened to win their first playoff games. The 2010 Seahawks were a minus-92, and the 2011 Broncos were a minus-81. Both won weak divisions to get in, and both won first-round games at home.’
Buffalo Bills say LeSean McCoy “has a chance” to play vs. Jaguars
‘The Bills left it open-ended, saying “we’ll see,” if he’s actually able to play on Sunday. Outside of McCoy, the team has only Mike Tolbert and Marcus Murphy as their main runners on the roster.’
Coach McDermott talks about the playoffs
‘McDermott discussed the injury to star running back LeSean McCoy, saying he was hopeful that he may be able to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday. He said the good news was that x-rays on his ankle were negative.’
Bills players react to making the playoffs
‘Here are some of the tweets sent out by Bills players…’.
Fans react to Bills making the playoffs
‘“It’s almost like revisiting an old friend from your childhood. This is familiar. For some people it’s unreal. For me it’s just been a long time coming,” said Michael Parthum, Bills fan.’
Tickets limited for Bills playoff game against Jacksonville
‘Staff members for the Jaguars say all tickets for the game are being delivered to mobile devices. So if someone tries selling a paper ticket, it is likely fake.’
