Bills Life: Celebrity fans weigh in on Bills playoff berth

‘While the celebs don’t live in Western New York, they each have ties to the region. Fichtner, Murray and Blitzer are all native to the area and Sanders’ husband is as well. Despite their distance, these celebs have proven that once a Bills fan, always a Bills fan.’

Have the Bills found an additional weapon on offense?

‘“I thought it was well designed by Rick [Dennison] and the offensive staff,” said head coach Sean McDermott. “We were able to stay on the attack even with things happening in between plays, which I think is important. The tempo, some of the hard counts. That was well executed by our offense. Eric [Wood] really leads that. Eric and Tyrod [Taylor]. I thought the communication part of it was key and they did a nice job.”’

‘“He’s really just a complete player, in terms of what he’s done,” said head coach Sean McDermott. “Really love his toughness, scrappy player, puts in a lot of time in terms of preparation, instinctive football player, I mean the things you look for, our DNA. I couldn’t say more about the way he’s played. The rapport he’s building with Micah [Hyde] as well the linebackers, they’re doing more things in between plays that’s helped our defense. The growth defensively has been phenomenal.”’

Wood cheers Bengals … again

‘“I kept saying, those guys in Cincinnati, they love Marvin. If this was his last game, I thought they’d play really hard for him,” Wood says. “The Bengals went all-out on Sunday and we’re appreciative and you know the Buffalo fan base is. They’re tremendous. Great fans. It’s like playing for a college. When we landed after the game there were several hundred waiting for us and it was about one degree and the wind chill was like minus-15.”‘

This is amped-up a little bit. Guys are ready to go, watching a little bit more film, studying more.’
