‘Throughout the 2017 season, Jones did not mention the shoulder injury. On Oct. 30, the day after Buffalo’s 34-14 win over the Oakland Raiders, Jones was listed on the team’s injury report with a shoulder injury, however, he was listed as a full participant in practice.’

Tre White lands on PFWA All-Rookie team; Lattimore named Defensive Rookie of Year honor
‘The NFL did not select White as a finalist for their Rookie of the Year award and the NFL did not name White a Pro Bowler. Now you can add the Pro Football Writers of America to that list.’
Bengal fans pass on Bills fans gratitude, donate to Blake Bortles Foundation
‘According to ESPN, Cincinnati sports radio host Mo Egger thought of the idea as a way to “pay it forward” for what Bills fans did for Dalton.’
Bills Free Agency: Webb, three running backs set to hit the open market
‘Webb played on the one-year veteran minimum in 2017. He has value to the Bills as a multi-positional player as both a quarterback and wide receiver, as well as a special teams contributor. He played quarterback in the snowstorm game against the Indianapolis Colts after Nathan Peterman left the game with a concussion. He most likely won’t have many offers on the open market, other than on another vet minimum deal, which means the Bills could very well bring him back and should be able to if they want.’
Bills WR Zay Jones has successful shoulder surgery
‘“Successful surgery,” he tweeted. “God is good. Coming back even stronger!!”’
Bills Today: Scott Chandler on Bills new OC Daboll
‘“I just thought he was a really, really good coach. And not just a good tight end coach, but a good coach overall,” said Chandler on the John Murphy Show. “I think he’s a guy who’s coached just about every position on offense now. He has a really good grasp of line play. He’s coached quarterbacks. Obviously, he’s coached tight ends and he’s done a lot of stuff with receivers too. He has a really good grasp of offensive football and technique. I’d expect to see him put his players in a position to succeed.”’
It was a season to forget for Bills’ pass offense
‘The Bills completed just 115 passes to wide receivers, last in the league this year and the lowest total in the NFL in the last seven seasons.’
Bills’ new OC Brian Daboll is well-versed in possession pass game
‘But when the Bills get the kind of QB they want, look for Daboll to emulate a lot of staples from the Patriots’ passing attack (which lots of teams use; the Pats just do most of them better).’
Former Daboll players think Bills landed ‘very, very smart’ OC
‘”You can tell that he’s put a lot of time into really wanting to fully know everything,” Chandler, who played for the Bills from 2010 to 2014, said by phone Monday. “I think that lends itself to him being a coordinator. But as a tight end coach, that was pretty special to have a guy who had that great a grasp of what we were trying to do on offense. I thought Brian was the smartest tight end coach I was around.”‘
‘One of the smartest coaches I was ever around’ (Reactions to Buffalo Bills hiring Brian Daboll)
‘Following the news of Daboll joining the Bills, there were many reactions to the hire on Twitter. Here’s a look at some of the best reactions.’
5 players who might have played their last snap with the Bills & why
‘On Sunday, Buffalo hired Brian Daboll as their new offensive coordinator. Daboll’s scheme will likely call for a more prototypical drop back passer. Plus, Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott and general manager Brandon Beane inherited Taylor, he wasn’t their pick. The new regime, I believe, will want their own man.’
Nick Saban thinks Brian Daboll will do “great” with Bills
‘“Brian did a tremendous job for us this past season at Alabama, and I know he will do a great job for the Buffalo Bills. He is an outstanding coach and coordinator who put us in position to be successful each week,” Saban told Smith. “We appreciate all that he did in terms of his time and his dedication in contributing to the success we had this season. We wish Brian, his wife Beth, and their entire family all the best.”’
Former Carroll College Saints lineman Josh James looks to stick with Buffalo Bills
‘He has about three months to add another 10 pounds on his frame. The Bills want him to weigh 320.’
Bills move fast on OC
‘It will be pointed out that Daboll was stuck with some average to below average quarterbacks over those four years as a play caller but he isn’t exactly getting a prime situation here either. Which brings me to the next biggest question of the off season. What is the Bills plan at quarterback? I don’t think the hiring of Daboll is connected to the future of Taylor. Some are suggesting this could mean the Bills will keep Taylor for one more year and draft his successor. If they do go that route I think it would happen regardless of who the new OC was.’
Bills rookie class delivers encouraging results in 2017
‘“It’s exciting that a lot of young guys played. We were following through the year how many young guys we had playing, rookies, versus what other teams were doing and our guys were trending very high compared to the league,” said General Manager Brandon Beane. “There’s no substitute for playing time in real games. Not only did we get real games, we got a postseason game. You can’t simulate postseason experience. That’s huge as we build this thing going forward.”’
