‘It was a very successful first season for Sean McDermott as the team exceeded expectations and made the playoffs. Watching Taylor dazed and hurt leaving the field reminded me of Jim Kelly’s last game when he was carted off with a head injury during a Wildcard loss to the Jaguars. I believe we have seen the last of Taylor in a Bills uniform and leaves the way Kelly did just without the same success.’

Wildcard Playoffs: Bills Offensive Struggles Mightily in Wildcard Loss
‘Tyrod Taylor was awful in what is almost certainly in his final season in Buffalo. He completed 17 of 37 passes for 134 yards. Grade F: The one thing that comes out of this loss is the world saw that Tyrod is not the answer.’
Jags defeat Bills in defensive battle
‘Come the third quarter Jacksonville cashed in on what proved to be their only red zone scoring chance when Blake Bortles found TE Ben Koyack on fourth-and-goal from the one-yard line near the end of the third quarter. It would prove to be enough in a 10-3 Wild Card victory over Buffalo.’
Top 3 things we learned from Bills-Jaguars
‘“You know, I thought they played well most of the day,” said McDermott of his defensive unit. “They shut down the running game for the most part, and I know (Blake) Bortles was their leading rusher. Usually that doesn’t beat you. I thought we did a good job on twenty-seven (Leonard Fournette), and gave our offense chances. We got off the field on third down.”’
What they’re saying: Bills discuss season-ending playoff loss in Jacksonville
‘“Well, you know, it’s a step. We’ve come a long way in a short amount of time. That said, we’re not where we need to be, that’s obvious. We still want to be playing; we’re not playing next week. So, we learn lessons from today, we learn lessons from all season long that we must use to help us to continue to improve. I know Brandon (Beane) and I will sit down and talk about things as we move forward, making sure that we continue to grow and build on what we did this year. It’s never easy, but we’ll stay on it, and continue to pursue our goals for the organization.”’
McCoy up, Milano down for Bills vs. Jaguars
‘Milano, who suffered a hamstring injury last week, was unable to recover in time for today’s game. He is inactive.’
Bills Today: Confidence in Shady’s supporting cast
‘“Yeah, my confidence is still there. I saw it in Mike [Tolbert] and Murph [Marcus Murphy] last week in Miami,” said head coach Sean McDermott. “That’s really been the approach of our team all season long – preparing 63 guys and the next man up. We’ve done a good of that to this point.”’
