An inside look at what pure Bills joy looks like
‘“The emotion was raw, and it was real, and it was overwhelming,” said Murphy, the Bills’ radio play-by-play man who was born and raised in nearby Lockport and has covered Buffalo sports his entire career. “And it was just the beginning.”’
Bills fans’ donations show appreciation to former Clairton, Pitt star Tyler Boyd’s winning touchdown
‘The WPYAA donation goal was set at $20,000 but more than $30,000 had been received by Wednesday night from over 1,500 donors. Many donated in $17 increments, one dollar for each year since the Bills last reached the playoffs.’
The Buffalo fan from Nebraska who began a flood of donations to a Cincinnati QB’s charity
‘One recent Halloween, a kid showed up at the Forrest residence dressed as Tyrod Taylor. So elated was Kevin Forrest to see a kid in Grand Island trick-or-treating as the Bills’ starting quarterback that he ran up to his office and grabbed a mini helmet signed by the team’s then-running back, CJ Spiller. “This kid’s like, ‘Are you kidding me?’” Forrest said. “I’m like, ‘You picked the right house to go to.’”’
Andy Dalton Saved the Bills, and Fans Flocked to His Charity
‘“We are blown away by everybody that’s donating,” he said. “Thank you to all the Bills fans, thank you for anybody that’s just supporting our foundation. Let’s keep it going.”’
25 years ago today, the Oilers broke their fans’ hearts in Buffalo
‘Two other Oilers teams advanced to the AFC Championship game, so those Bum Phillips Oilers teams were actually closer to the Super Bowl, but Oilers fans old enough to remember still can feel what it was like to see their team demolishing a foe in the playoffs and setting up such great hopes.’
Jumping on the flaming Bills bandwagon
‘After the Bills clinched a playoff spot on Sunday for the first time in forever by beating the Dolphins and getting some improbable help from the Cincinnati Bengals moments later, I reverted to my default secondary position of rooting for the Bills. If you don’t have a horse in this NFL postseason race, the bet here is that you’ll come off the top rope and bodyslam this flaming bandwagon.’
Remembering ‘The Comeback’ in Buffalo, 25 years after Bills stunned Oilers
‘Running back Kenneth Davis told The Buffalo News that the home crowd willed the Bills to victory. “We were the Energizer bunnies, but they were the batteries in us,” he said. “I don’t know if people realize how passionate we were about the fans, and how they could change a game.”‘
‘If anybody’s going to be hyped’ for Jags-Bills it’s Dareus
‘It’s clearly gnawing at the Jacksonville Jaguars lineman.’
Bills RB McCoy misses practice and listed day to day
‘”This team thrives off adversity. It thrives off negative situations. It thrives off everyone picking against us. So we have everything going our way,” Incognito said Wednesday.’
Bills RB McCoy listed as ‘day-to-day’ by McDermott
‘McCoy will not practice on Wednesday, three days after being carted off the field with a right ankle injury following a tackle by linebacker Chase Allen in the third quarter of the Bills’ 22-16 win over the Miami Dolphins. The 29-year-old McCoy immediately took off his helmet and was pounding the turf following the injury.’
Bills focus on matchup with Jaguars
‘”We just stay focused on what we’re doing, really,” McDermott said. “Our players, they know how this team has been built. They’ve taken a lot of ownership in that, in the process of going through the season of what we’re all about.’

‘The winner of Sunday’s game will become the playoff darling.’
Sean McDermott Has Buffalo Bills in Playoffs Now, Pointing in Right Direction For Future
‘“I just believe in being honest with my team, whether I’m right or wrong,” McDermott said from his office Wednesday night. “We all make mistakes. From a leadership standpoint, if I can try and communicate the best I can in sharing information I have with my team, then we’ll able to move forward. There’s also part of it, being vulnerable with my players, and being open, and being able to say, ‘Listen, if I made the wrong decision, I’ll admit it, and we’ll move on.’’
As expected, Marrone does his best to not answer questions about his time in Buffalo
‘“I’ve moved on from that,” Marrone said. “It’s been a while ago. They’re where they want to be and I’m where I want to be and we’re getting our team ready. I’m focused on my team and this game. That’s really all my focus is. My focus is not about what’s gone on in my past, whether it be Buffalo or Syracuse or New Orleans or the New York Jets or wherever I may have been.”’
