‘It wasn’t a good day for the Bills’ quarterbacks. Tyrod Taylor, who was injured in the fourth quarter, finished with 9 completions on 18 attempts for 65 yards. He was more effective as a runner — three carries for 32 yards — than he was as a passer. This is the Bills’ biggest flaw as a team. As much as Taylor is a dynamic athlete, he is an inconsistent quarterback. The Bills need much more out of the position than they’re getting. After Taylor left the game, Nathan Peterman entered and wasn’t much better. He was 6-15 for 50 yards. He did lead the Bills down to the Patriots’ 1-yard-line, but a questionable play call — a fade pass on fourth and goal — failed. Peterman could be the guy next week against the Colts.’

‘But Brady became the maestro of a plodding offense that, as it has done before, subtly overwhelmed the Bills.’

‘The hit sent White into the concussion protocol, according to Bills coach Sean McDermott.’

‘”(The ref) said he didn’t see the initial act,” Poyer said. “It is what it is. Just have to move forward and see how the league handles it.”‘

‘Poyer: “Unnecessary. Unnecessary anywhere in this league. Tre made a great play. Obviously, Gronk was frustrated. (There’s) nowhere in this league for that type of play. I understand flames are going, heat of the battle, but there is no room in this league for that type of crap.”’

‘Said object is wrapped in a towel, and is now being ushered off the field.’

‘There’s been no update on the condition of the fan, but let’s hope he’s OK. Although the Mafia’s antics are often hilarious, hopefully this outcome will dissuade other members from doing similarly dangerous stunts.’

‘The two teams will meet again on Christmas Eve in Foxboro and the Bills players say they will remember what happened. “Of course. Yeah. For sure. Yes,” Poyer said.’

‘“I don’t know. He isn’t known for doing that,” he said. “Maybe a fine. I didn’t see it all. It is kind of hard for me to give you a definite answer, but based on the way it looked it looked dirty and late. Slow motion, on the screen it is not real-time fast speed. I can’t tell. He is not known for that, so who knows? I would assume a fine, but I am not sure.”’

‘We don’t make any decisions early. Though we are who we are. If it’s Nate. It’s Nate. If Tyrod (Taylor) can’t go, will support Nate and try to make it easier for him. Guys got to make plays. Even if it’s harder for us, let’s make it easier for him. That’s all really you can do.’
