‘New England (10-2) virtually clinched the AFC East title, its ninth straight and 15th in the past 17 seasons, and they did it with quarterback Tom Brady, who has taken the Pats to seven Super Bowls, winning five, assuming the role of bit player.’

Bills vs. Patriots: Tyrod Taylor hurt in blowout loss (10 observations)
‘At this point, the 6-6 Bills are holding on for dear life in the playoff picture. But losing Taylor might be the nail in their coffin. If Sunday was supposed to be a measuring stick game for McDermott’s Bills, they fell well short of where they needed to be.’
Buffalo Bills’ QB Tyrod Taylor carted off with knee injury against Patriots
‘It’s unclear exactly when Taylor suffered the injury, but he was playing in pain for most of the game after he was slow to get up after taking a sack on the Bills’ first offensive possession.’
Tyrod Taylor injury: What we know about Buffalo Bills quarterback’s knee
‘”He’s being evaluated and that remains the case,” Bills coach Sean McDermott said after the game. “I’m not going to get into next week at all at this point until I know a little bit more medically at this point.”‘
Media react to Rob Gronkowski’s cheap shot on Buffalo Bills’ Tre’Davious White
‘Pretty awful cheap shot from Rob Gronkowski on Tre’Davious White. His fourth penalty today.’
What Bills coach Sean McDermott said after loss to Patriots
‘Well we’ve got to do a better job. To score three points, we’ve got to do a better job. I’m not going to sugarcoat that at all. We’ve got to score more than three points and put a defense under pressure. I thought we had a first good drive and then we gave the ball up there. You can’t do that in the NFL, in particular in the red zone. To come away with no points I thought was – although it was a good drive, it wasn’t good enough.’
What Bill Belichick, other Bills and Patriots said about Rob Gronkowski’s dirty hit
‘”I didn’t really see what happened on the whole play. There was quite a bit of stuff going on on that play. It was something that the officials handled today and it’s not really anything we have any control over.”‘
What Patriots’ Rob Gronkowski said about his dirty hit on Bills’ Tre’Davious White
‘”First off, I definitely want to apologize to No. 27,” Gronkowski said after the game. “I’m not in the business of that. It was just a lot of frustration. I was just really frustrated at that moment. … Just want to apologize to Tre’Davious White. I don’t really believe in types of shots like that.”‘
What Patriots’ Stephon Gilmore said about getting booed by Buffalo Bills fans
‘”I’m not surprised,” Gilmore said. “These fans, it is what it is. Maybe that’s a good thing. They know what type of player I am, can make plays. But you have to ask them that. Maybe because I’m on the Patriots.’
Bills vs. Patriots injury report: LeSean McCoy good to go; Nick O’Leary inactive
‘Miller, Glenn, Tolbert and Benjamin had all already been ruled out. The Bills were holding out for hope for O’Leary, but they will be left with Logan Thomas and Khari Lee behind Charles Clay at tight end.’

Ex-Bills defender Stephon Gilmore reflects on return to New Era Field

Gronk, don’t ask what are you supposed to do
‘The Christmas Eve game in New England may have meaning now even if it doesn’t have meaning. While the Buffalo players were professional and took the high road, they said they will remember this.’
5 takeaways from the Bills loss to the Patriots
‘Tyrod’s play: Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor had another subpar day against the Patriots. On the ground, Buffalo’s quarterback made a few plays, rushing three times for 32 yards. Additionally, his legs got him in trouble as well, losing 25 yards on three sacks. In the air, not much better. 9-for-18, that’s 50-percent, for 65 yards. Taylor also tossed a bad interception on first down in the red zone on Buffalo’s opening drive. The Bills could have had a few more shots at it instead of a pick. That’s some bad decision making.’
Report card: Bills lose 23-3 to the Patriots
‘Once again, when the section header finishes with the letter ‘s’ it’s not good. Although, a different reason for once. Tyrod Taylor left with a knee injury but was bad. Only 9-for-18, for 65 yards and an interception. He also lost 25 yards on three sacks due to poor scrambles. Nate Peterman replaced him and wasn’t too good either, going 6-for-15 for 50 yards. But heck, Joe Webb even tossed a pass. It went incomplete, but it’s been awhile and it was nearly completed.’
