‘Play-by-Play: Spero Dedes’
Top 10 reasons to gear up for Bills-Colts
‘At this week’s game against the Colts, the Bills will host Family Day, sponsored by Independent Health, the Official Health and Wellness Partner of the Buffalo Bills. Family Day will feature a variety of fun fit for all ages! At the Fan Zone in the ADPRO Sports Training Center, fans can skate on a synthetic ice rink, visit with Santa Claus and his elves and take photos in front of the giant snow globe. There will also be live reindeer outside of the Fan Zone. Don’t miss out!’
Bills Today: How Colts trade catapulted Hughes’ career
‘Bills defensive end, Jerry Hughes, will face his former team on Sunday. He was traded to Buffalo in 2013 after spending three seasons in Indianapolis. The former first-round pick hasn’t looked back since.’
Bills’ Peterman ready, but will he be starter?
‘“I’m excited to see what we do Sunday,” he admitted. “I’m very eager every time I get on the field. Every opportunity in the NFL when you’re behind the center is great. I’m always extremely thankful to be here and to have those opportunities like I had this past Sunday. I’m just staying ready, staying thankful, and ready to play.”’
As LeSean McCoy closes in on 10,000, he’s setting his sights even higher
‘“Twelve is special because there’s only three backs that have 12,000 that aren’t in the Hall of Fame,” McCoy said after practice this week, before proceeding to rattle off the names in correct order.’
Bills Notebook: Sunday’s QB starter game-time decision
‘”Just like it is with most any position, just the give and take of the communication,” the coach said. “Then, being able to put my eyes on it and seeing him execute. … I think every day he gets a little bit better. Like any injury, there is some soreness immediately after a game. Then, as the week wears on, you get a little bit better each and every day. Our trainers do a good job with that, too.”‘
Vic Carucci’s Take Five: Bills need to show superiority over Colts
‘Whether Tyrod Taylor or Nathan Peterman is quarterbacking the Bills, the Colts are not a team that they can permit to come into their house and leave with a win. Period.’
Sully’s Mailbag: Playoffs would be a relief, win or lose
‘But breaking the drought would be a meaningful achievement, one that would bring joy to beleaguered Buffalo sports fans. This isn’t just any drought, it’s the longest drought among the 123 teams in the four major professional sports. Dumping that albatross would be a welcome relief.’
What He Said: McDermott on QB decision, injuries, White’s reaction to Gronk hit
‘Q: How do you feel about Kelvin Benjamin’s chances on Sunday? A: I feel pretty good, yeah, I feel pretty good. There’s a bunch of guys in that bucket, really, that they’re progressing towards playing. We’ll see, again, how today looks.’
Bills are hiring: Shovel snow today at New Era Field
‘Willing workers are asked to bring their own shovels, though if you don’t have a shovel one will be provided. Lunch and dinner breaks will be provided in a comfortable warming area, according to the Bills and Jani-King.’
It’s not official, but all signs point to Nathan Peterman starting for Bills Sunday
‘He’s the same guy who can’t execute a functional passing game when he’s healthy let alone with a bad knee that will reduce his mobility, so I’d rather watch Peterman get another shot, especially in a game where the odds won’t be completely stacked against him.’
Cleveland Browns reportedly interviewed former Bills GM Doug Whaley for GM opening
‘Of the 20 draft picks Whaley made for the Bills from 2014 to 2016, only six remain on the roster.’
Buffalo Bills need help shoveling the snow at New Era Field before Colts game
‘The Bills and Jani-King, the Bills’ custodial service of choice, are asking for anyone 18 or older (or under 18 with proper working papers) to come to New Era Field beginning at noon on Friday, Dec. 8. The pay is $11 per hour and those who work a four-hour shift or longer will also receive a free ticket to the game on Sunday. The Bills will also provide lunch and dinner throughout the shifts in a “comfortable warming area.”‘
Sean McDermott says Tyrod Taylor will be ‘game-time decision’ for Buffalo Bills
‘”You’re always wanting playing to get the full complement of reps through the week,” McDermott said. “Tyrod, though, that said, he’s built up a tremendous amount of reps and muscle memory and timing with receivers. We saw him out there yesterday throwing with receivers. So I don’t worry about it all that much because of the work that he’s put in up to this point in time.”‘
