‘”We had three guys standing there,” Kelly said. “When you see a shot like that, I don’t care. If I’m the coach, yeah, you want to play smart, you don’t want to play dirty, you don’t want to get that penalty and all that. But boy, when you see something like that and it happens right in front of you, me as a quarterback, I might have ran over and gave him a good shot.”‘

Tyrod Taylor injury: Sean McDermott provides update on Buffalo Bills QB
‘This puts the Bills in an interesting spot. Taylor was benched prior to the team’s Week 11 game against the Los Angeles Chargers before returning to the lineup for weeks 12 and 13. He had just 65 yards passing against the Patriots on Sunday before leaving with the injury, so this injury may give the Bills an excuse to go back to rookie Nathan Peterman. Peterman threw five interceptions in the first half against the Chargers but looked more composed in mop-up duty against New England.’
Should Rob Gronkowski get suspended for hit on Bills’ Tre’Davious White?
‘”Well, I thought it was a good play by Tre. I’ll start off with the play itself. I wasn’t happy about what ensued after that and I’ll start with us as well. We’ve had some situations come up there, which we can’t let that happen on our side either,” Bills head coach Sean McDermott said.’
Report card: New England Patriots roll over Buffalo Bills
‘Rick Dennison deserves his fair share of blame, but Tyrod Taylor did next to nothing in the passing game for Buffalo. Taylor moved the ball well on Buffalo’s opening drive, but the drive ended with an interception. He finished with 65 yards passing on the day. Nathan Peterman didn’t fare much better (6-of-15, 50 yards) after Taylor was carted off with a knee injury. Buffalo desperately needs to address the position in the offseason.’
New England Patriots beat Buffalo Bills: 3 reasons to be encouraged, 5 reasons to worry
‘Tyrod Taylor is not the answer at quarterback for the Bills. The quarterback threw away a promising opening drive with an awful interception and went on to throw for 65 total yards. Taylor is currently the best quarterback on Buffalo’s roster, but it’s clear that the team needs to move on from him this offseason.’
NFL suspends Gronkowski for late hit to head
‘Gronk weighs 265 pounds and easily could have broken a back or neck vertebrae in White, the hit was so impactful.’

NFL suspends Rob Gronkowski 1 game for late hit to head
‘”Your actions were not incidental, could have been avoided and placed the opposing player at risk of serious injury,” NFL vice president Jon Runyan said in a letter to Gronkowski. “The competition committee has clearly expressed its goal of ‘eliminating flagrant hits that have no place in our game.’ Those hits include the play you were involved in yesterday.”‘
QB Taylor’s status unknown for Bills’ next game
‘He simply cannot execute an effective passing game because he lacks the willingness to throw the ball unless a receiver is clearly open. And with the group of receivers he’s working with this season, none of whom can get separation, the Bills have almost no chance to throw it effectively.’

‘When asked if Taylor would play for the Bills (6-6) against the visiting Indianapolis Colts (3-9) on Sunday, McDermott said, “When healthy, Tyrod is our quarterback.”‘

Rob Gronkowski suspended one game for late hit
‘In remarks to reporters after the game, Gronkowski had apologized to White for the hit, which came after an interception thrown in his direction. White was on the ground after the play, face down, when Gronkowski leaped on top of him and put his elbow/forearm into the back of his head/neck area.’
