‘Buffalo held a 13-3 lead at half. To that point, Taylor was 15-for-24 with 121 yards. Not take-your-breath-away numbers, but not bad. At that same point, running back LeSean McCoy had 13 carries for 36 yards. Not good. And that’s where Buffalo opted to go in the second half, the ground game. McCoy only had 13 yards rushing on nine more carries while Taylor only attempted five more passes.’

5 takeaways from the Bills win over the Chiefs
‘Tyrod’s return: Tyrod Taylor returned to his home as the starting quarterback for the Buffalo Bills and he had a strong first half to the game and was semi-abandoned in the second half. In the first half, Taylor went 15-for-24 with 121 yards and a touchdown pass to Zay Jones. Decent showing. In the second half, Buffalo only attempted five passes, sticking to the run game. Taylor finished 19-for-29, 183 yards, and a touchdown. Most importantly, he nabbed the W.’
Report card: Bills top Chiefs 16-10
‘Tyrod Taylor played from start to finish and was very Tyrod-like. Not spectacular, but not bad, either. Taylor steadied the ship for the offense, but left a little to be desired. Taylor’s leg helped him while his inaccurate arm hurt him. He tossed 183 yards with a touchdown.’
Buffalo Bills Week 12 Report Card: Tre White’s INT seals Bills’ 16-10 win over Chiefs
‘Rick Dennison’s play calling continues to be a problem. Sean McDermott made the right call by reinserting Tyrod Taylor as the starting quarterback, but let’s not give him too much credit. He threw away last week’s game with a terrible decision. His team bounced back and made him look good this week.’
Bills upset fast-fading Chiefs
‘Three of the previous four times the Bills had a winning record after 11 games during their league-longest playoff drought of 17 years (in 2000, 2008 and 2016) they lost four of their last five games to convince no one they were playoff worthy in the first place. The other time, in 2014, the Bills won three of their last five but finished 9-7, which that season wasn’t good enough to qualify for the post-season either.’

Bills pick off Smith in closing minutes, beat Chiefs 16-10
‘Especially when White stepped in front of Smith’s pass with 1:11 remaining and the Chiefs at the Buffalo 35. White nearly returned it for a clinching touchdown before Smith finally tracked him down.’
Sean McDermott gets sweet win as Bills hold off Chiefs
‘He spent more than 10 seasons working under Kansas City coach Andy Reid in Philadelphia, rising from a lowly administrative assistant to defensive coordinator. McDermott said he learned a lot from Reid “on and off the field,” though his mentor probably wishes he picked up a little bit less.’
Taylor-led Bills send Chiefs to defeat
‘Buffalo mustered just 268 yards of offense, but that was all it took on a day when the Chiefs tallied just 236 yards on offense.’
Chiefs searching for answers, while Bills are back in thick of AFC playoff race
‘I’ve said it before and I will say it again – you can do a helluva lot worse than Taylor in this league, he can win with a little around him and be a winning quarterback. He’s clearly not Buffalo’s QB of the future, and I still expect him to be dealt in the offseason … but he just might sneak the into the playoffs before then.’
Tyrod Taylor Continues to Deliver for a Franchise That Lacks Confidence in Him
‘Surely, though, Taylor will not be the Bills’ starter in 2018. He has a cap number of $18 million that Buffalo likely won’t want to pay, even though that’s the going price for a quarterback that can win you games. And when you consider Taylor’s career numbers are right in line with that sort of pay—63% completion rate, 7.2 yards per attempt, only 17 career interceptions and a 20–18 record as a starter—Buffalo’s continued disinterest in its starter remains baffling.’
Bills upset the Chiefs, 16-10 at Arrowhead
‘The win snaps their three-game losing streak, and gets the Bills back in a decent spot in the AFC playoff picture.’
Bills get a season-saving win
‘But it all worked out in the end, and the Bills gave me a reason to care about the out-of-town scoreboard and once again check out remaining schedules for other teams. Nothing like a win to make you feel better. Don’t ruin the mood by asking about the next game on the schedule.’
The Bills earned the win they had to have
‘Overall, the defense forced Kansas City to punt eight times!’
Bills-Chiefs: Arrow Up/Arrow Down
‘Stop me if you’ve read or heard this before. Taylor didn’t put up great numbers. But he was efficient and smart and gave his team a chance to win. And he did more than that Sunday. He was one of the reasons they won, despite average numbers in the passing game. Taylor finished 19-for-23 for 183 yards, but had no interceptions and threw a big TD to Zay Jones. He also added 27 yards on the ground with smart running when he needed to. It was a good day for the QB one week after being benched.’
