Peterman implodes as the Bills are blown out for the second straight week
‘That dream quickly turned into a nightmare Sunday afternoon.’
Pitoniak: Switch to Peterman blows up as Bills get blown out for third straight time
‘There’s really no need to review the film before making the decision. If it’s all about giving your team the best chance to win now, if you aren’t going into tank mode, then Taylor needs to be back at quarterback until your team is officially eliminated.’
Bills Blown Out Again 54-24
‘Wow! Where to begin? This team has obviously given up on the season. The defense gave up two weeks ago and the coach gave up when he kept Peterman in despite throwing four interceptions and having two three and outs in the first half. In reality this is the team we figured we were getting before the season started but it took two months to show up. Maybe the coach should have stayed with Tyrod Taylor until the team was down to the in the hunt category. Instead he decided to go into full tank mode while the playoffs were on the line for a city that is so starved for a spot. This has to be the absolute lowest point of the 17 year playoff drought and that is saying a lot since we have seen so many low points since the turn of the century.’
Week 11: Offense Was In Giving Mood In Blowout Loss
‘Sean McDermott has seen his team implode the last three weeks. They actually went seven quarters without forcing a punt! His QB change was a disaster and he may have lost the team. Rick Dennison continues to have no answers and it doesn’t matter who the quarterback is. Leslie Frazier either doesn’t have the players or he doesn’t have teh right scheme but his defense stinks.’
Bills humbled in loss to Chargers
‘Buffalo’s defense again struggled mightily. Though they were handed some short fields on the turnovers they were unable to force the Chargers to punt until the 4:40 mark of the third quarter. It was the first punt forced by the Bills since the 13-minute mark of the fourth quarter against the Jets in Week 9.’
Top 3 things we learned from Bills-Chargers
‘“It wasn’t what he had hoped for or we had hoped for,” said McDermott of Peterman. “At the same time, you know when you put a young player out there, a young quarterback, that there are going to be some ups and downs. To me it’s not indicative of who he is as a player, but you know you’re going to go through some of this. All good players do.”’
What they’re saying: Bills evaluate their loss to the Chargers
‘“Today the game got away from us in a hurry due to the turnovers. With that said, there’s areas we can get better at in all areas: Offense, defense and special teams. They were backed up early with some field position due to the turnovers. So we go back and evaluate all areas of our football team.”’
Jordan Matthews tops Bills list of inactives
‘For Matthews, this will be only the second game he has missed due to injury. The receiver missed the team’s Week 5 game at Cincinnati after having thumb surgery.’
Bills Today: Peterman prepared for this moment
‘“He prepares. The great part about our guys is they prepare every week like they’re the starters, even though they may not be, because they know they’re one snap away. When you prepare that way, when your name is called, you’re ready to go. You’ve seen that over the course of our season already, with different guys that have stepped in and stepped up,” he said. “Nathan, no different. He’s prepared all season long like he’s the starter and that’s what you have to do. He’s had a great week. He looks sharp and crisp.”’
