‘Teams have mostly been getting the ball out quickly enough to nullify the Bills pass rush, but that wasn’t always the case in this game. The Bills just got beat up front early on, it snowballed on them, and they never recovered. It’s really that simple — and it set the tone for what the outcome of the game would be.’

Bills struggle on both sides of the ball in loss to Jets
‘Buffalo turned the ball over three times, took seven sacks and got blitzed for nearly 200 yards rushing as the Jets laughed to a 34-21 win. The Bills fell to 5-3 and 1-3 on the road.’
Incognito blasts Thursday football
‘”These Thursday night games, they suck,” Incognito said. “They throw a wrench in our schedule. It’s absolutely ridiculous that we have to do this. As physical as this game is and as much work and preparation as goes into this, to force us to play games on four day weeks, it’s completely unfair. It’s bull-(expletive). The league makes money off of it. That’s all they care about anyway.”‘
Bills lay egg on national television, squander a chance to prove they’re for real
‘It was as if Buffalo had decided to turn-back the clock a few days before the rest of the country did. Not for an hour, mind you, but to last season and the 16 seasons before that; to times when they were the Bad News Bills.’
Jets Blowout Bills 34-21
‘This game should have been expected. Like many times over the terrible playoff drought the Bills got off to a good start. The media started believing in them and then they collapsed. This is a game playoff teams win. The Bills got us thinking this may be one of them then they reverted back to the same old Bills and laid in egg on national television. If you live by the turnover you die by the turnover and today the Bills died by the turnover. I hate to say it but it’s back to the rebuild for this team.’
Week 9: Offensive Line Awful In Bad Loss
‘Sean McDermott didn’t have his team ready for this game. They came up flat. Probably shouldn’t have kept Zay Jones and Taylor in the game so long.’
Bills struggle in 13-point loss to Jets
‘Buffalo lost the battle of the line of scrimmage on offense as Tyrod Taylor was under duress the entire game and was sacked seven times. LeSean McCoy had nowhere to run managing just 25 yards on 12 carries.’
Top 3 things we learned from Bills-Jets
‘“They did a great job of pushing the pocket up front,” said Taylor of the Jets defensive front. “Our guys battled their butts off, but this is a very talented defensive line. We knew that going into the game and that it would be a challenge for us. They did a great job of pushing the pocket and they had a couple of spies on me during the game. Overall they just executed better than we did.”‘
What they’re saying: Bills look ahead after primetime loss to the Jets
‘They were challenging us with an eight-man box and doing some good stuff up front. Really, it was just fundamentally they were doing some good things technique-wise. Obviously, we can do a better job in that area.’
Kelvin Benjamin inactive; Humber, Poyer return to lineup
‘The combination of getting only two days to try to cram a game plan along with the prospect of never getting the benefit of a bye week were likely factors in the decision made by the coaching staff to keep Benjamin out of the lineup.’
Micah Hyde named AFC Defensive Player of the Month
‘The safety has been a major player in the team’s league leading takeaway total of 17 through their first seven games. Buffalo’s plus-14 turnover margin also leads the NFL.’
Bills Today: McCoy success equals Bills success vs. Jets
‘The two losses McCoy has taken at the hands of the Jets demonstrate his value. In Week Two of 2016, McCoy had 15 carries for 59 yards and the Bills lost 37-31. That same season in Week 17, he had five carries for 10 yards and the team lost 30-10.’
