'The Buffalo Bills and Erie County Medical Center have joined together to intercept cancer, as the team participates in the National Football League’s Crucial Catch.Throughout this week, the Bills and ECMC have created several initiatives that will focus on generating awareness to increase prevention of several forms of cancer including prostate cancer, pediatric cancer, breast cancer, and head and neck cancer.'

'Buffalo backed up one spot in the division standings after the bye. They’re 3-2 and sit in second place ahead of the Miami Dolphins (3-2) and the Jets (3-3). The Patriots have played one more game than the Bills and Dolphins, which certainly jumbles up the standings. After New England has their bye in Week Nine the standings should be clearer.'

'He was replaced by Fitzpatrick, making Winston the next victim of the Fitzpatrick Curse. Much like in his previous stops around the league, Fitzpatrick signed to be the backup in Tampa Bay but is getting time because the starter got hurt.'

'On the Bills’ current 53-man roster, only 19 players remain from Whaley’s reign (2013-17). Safety Colt Anderson just went on injured reserve, but that number figures to go back up to 20 this week as offensive tackle Seantrel Henderson returns to the roster after serving his 10-game suspension for using what he maintains was “medical marijuana” to counteract Crohn’s disease.'

'The Seahawks had previously approached the Bills about their left tackle, Cordy Glenn, but those conversations largely fizzled. While Glenn could be an option to be moved ahead of the deadline — Buffalo has a plethora of tackles at a time most teams have a scarcity, and the team is high on several of its young linemen — it would take a considerable haul to land him. That and his high salary made for a poor fit with the Seahawks.'

'Glenn currently counts $14.2 million towards the Bills' 2017 salary cap. He's scheduled to count $14.5 million in 2018. According to the salary cap website Spotrac, if Glenn were traded he would still count $9.6 million against the teams' cap next year, netting them a cap savings of roughly $5 million.'

'Through five weeks McCoy has caught 27 passes for 189 yards. He leads the team in receptions. If this production continues, McCoy would finish the season with 604 receiving yards. That would be a season-high for the nine-year veteran.'
