‘The linebacker didn’t get on the practice field Thursday as he was going through the team physical. Adams did not pass the physical forcing the roster move.’

Bills Life: Brandon Reilly’s Uber Adventure
‘Nothing gets in the way of Brandon Reilly making it to practice on time, even if that means taking an Uber all the way from Chicago, Illinois. Over the Bye Week, Reilly visited his alma mater – the University of Nebraska. After missing a connecting flight on his way home, Reilly looked into other transportation options to ensure he would be ready for practice at 8 a.m. on Monday. Similarly to Bills cornerback Shareece Wright, Reilly opted for Uber and made it right on time for the team’s early morning practice.’
Game Day Experience Information: Week 7
‘Leader of the Charge: Jerry Butler – Bills Alumnus’
Hauschka’s NFL career part happenstance, part family history
‘“That was kind of my first love,” Hauschka said. “All summer long I would kick soccer balls. I’d go out to a field with like 20 soccer balls and just kick for hours. By myself or with my brother or something. I kind of developed the reputation as the guy with the strong leg. It just became me and I loved kicking.”’
Bills Today: White up to the challenge when targeted
‘If the season were to end today the 22-year-old would be at the top of the list for Defensive Rookie of the Year. The only rookie ranked higher than him is Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt. Here’s an excerpt of PFF’s analysis.’
Replacing Charles Clay will be a two-man job for Bills
‘Clay plays in all situations for the Bills, having taken part in at least 80 percent of the offensive snaps through the first four games before getting hurt early against Cincinnati.’
Kimberley A. Martin: Taylor focused on Bucs, separating himself from the pack
‘“I don’t necessarily hear (the criticisms). I stay away from the media,” the Bills quarterback said before Wednesday’s practice. “We’re here to talk about Tampa Bay and getting ready for that. So any questions that pertain to that, I’m ready to answer.”’
Jerry Sullivan: Getting the start would be fitting for Fitz
‘”I still love this game,” Fitz said. “I love being out there, so I’m really happy with the decision I made.”‘
Vic Carucci’s NFL meeting analysis: League leaving protests alone … for time being
‘Don’t shake things up by instituting a new policy that requires players to stand. Don’t be confrontational with what seems to be less of an emotional powder keg than it was earlier this season.’
Bills Notebook: LeSean McCoy feels urgency, Jordan Matthews practices, team makes a linebacker swap
‘“It’s something that I’ve really put my mindset on, getting going and getting back to just playing my ball,” McCoy said before listing off all that entails. “Finding the end zone. First downs. Big runs. Big chunks. Making guys miss, You know, highlight plays. All that, even it’s good for me, but it’s good for our team. It keeps the offense on the field. … Just got to get going, man, get back to just playing our football.”’
McDermott: Not enough ‘very, very good days’ from Taylor
‘McDermott is sure to couch his remarks, but he seems to be saying that Taylor’s marginal weapons are no excuse. He’s an inferior passer in a passing league. I suspect the Bills have already made their minds up on Taylor, and the quality of the team’s receiving corps will not alter their opinions on his future.’
The intrigue of new Bills wide receiver Deonte Thompson
‘Thompson spent one game in 2014 and 2015 training camp and preseason with Buffalo before an injury in practice in the week before the regular season led to him being waived with an injury settlement. Last year with the Chicago Bears, Thompson caught 22 passes for 249 yards with three touchdowns on 36 targets. Included in that stat line was an eight-grab, 110-yard performance against the Packers.’
Bucs QB Jameis Winston practices Wednesday, but doesn’t throw
‘Winston is still considered day-to-day, leaving his status for Sunday’s game against the Bills in doubt. Former Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick would start for the Bucs if Winston can’t go.’
What They Said: QB Taylor, RB McCoy, WR Matthews, WR Jones, G Incognito, DE Hughes, DT Williams
‘A: I don’t necessarily hear; I stay away from the media. We’re here to talk about Tampa Bay and getting ready for that, so any questions that pertain to that, I’m ready to answer. As far as the other stuff, it comes with the job. I’m a focused guy, and I know what it takes to get myself mentally prepared for a game, so I’m going to continue to keep building that each week.’
What They Said: Bucs coach Dirk Koetter, coordinator Mike Smith, QB Ryan Fitzpatrick and more
‘“Ryan is always extremely well prepared. If you put it in perspective, Jameis has 37 starts. Ryan has 116. Ryan got all of the passing reps today, so that’s about 35 more than he’s gotten since the season started with the first offense. He’s a pro. He knows how to prepare and he showed that last week. However it works out, we are going to be fine either way.”’
