‘”Alright, bold prediction of the week. The Buffalo Bills, they don’t just beat Tampa Bay, they rout ’em. And there’s plenty of reasons why. They’re fresher, Jameis (Winston), you know, he ends up not even practicing all week for Tampa Bay, but this running game of Buffalo needs to get on track. Last year, last two years, Buffalo has led the NFL in rushing and rushing average and Tampa can’t stop the run this year so watch out. Look for a Bills rout today.”‘

Tyrod clears benchmarks with win over Bucs
‘But en route to the W, Taylor cleared a couple of benchmarks. Only one time in his career did Taylor win a game attempting more than 30 passes. That came last season on the road in New England, but don’t get too excited. Taylor was 27-for-39 with 246 yards passing and a touchdown that day. Buffalo won 16-0.’
Bills’ McDermott praises fans; Tyrod, Shady post-game pressers
‘“I love playing here,” McDermott said with a chuckle. “I do. These fans, I mean, what more could you ask for? These guys love (the fans), the fans love it, we love it; this is, to me, this is the place to play. When you come here, I came here a couple times as an opponent and I know how hard it was. It’s like heaven for a home team.”’
5 takeaways from the Bills win over the Bucs
‘Zay still struggles: You can’t say Taylor doesn’t trust rookie Zay Jones, or gives him a chance, at least. Jones led the Bills with nine targets. He only had two catches for 17 yards. Jones also had another very ugly drop on the day. Jones did himself no favors this season by declaring he had the best hands in the NFL Draft, but now he might not even had the best hands in his own team’s draft class after Milano’s impressive interception.’
Report card: Bills top Bucs 30-27
‘Quarterback Tyrod Taylor had a strong game overall, but with one big knock. Taylor went 20-for-33 with 268 yards pass and a touchdown. He started using his legs again, rushing six times for 53 yards and c’mon, who saw him leading the Bills to a win after that Tampa comeback? However, the decision to pass to Jordan Matthews just before half was ugly. He bounced-back after that one early in the second half with his lone passing score to Logan Thomas.’
Missed opportunities keep Tampa in game
‘This was a win that could have been one-sided, if the 4-2 Bills played and were coached like they should have.’
Buffalo Bills Week 7 Report Card: LeSean McCoy, Tre White get redemption in Bills 30-27 win
‘It’s not always pretty, but Tyrod Taylor made plays. He had 268 passing yards and a touchdown. He added 53 rushing yards, including a 26-yard gain on the Bills’ opening drive. The biggest play he made came on Bills’ game-tying touchdown drive. He threw a 44-yard pass to Deonte Thompson to put the Bills deep in Buccaneers territory. He stepped up and made a nice throw in that moment.’
‘Incredible bounce-back’ lifts plucky Bills to 4-2
‘Did thoughts of cack-ups past start creeping into Wood’s head as the Bills seemingly started to unravel? Really, how could they not. “A little bit,” Wood said. “It helps if you’ve won tight games already this year, and we’ve played tight games. So we were prepped. You can’t ride the emotions. You’ve kind of just got to stay locked in. Ultimately, we were able to make some really big plays at the end.”’

Bills rally to beat Bucs 30-27 on late Hauschka field goal
‘Taylor won by overcoming a fourth-quarter deficit for just the third time in his career. And he did it with an injury depleted group of receivers. Starting tight end Charles Clay is sidelined with a left knee injury, while receiver Jordan Matthews played sparingly in returning to action three weeks since breaking his right thumb.’
QB Taylor answers critics by rallying Bills to beat Bucs
‘The third-year starter’s 268 yards passing were his second-most in a victory. Taylor won when trailing in the fourth quarter for just the third time. And Taylor did all that with an injury-depleted group of receivers that included Deonte Thompson, who finished with a team-best 109 yards despite being signed on Tuesday.’
Bills come back to beat Bucs
‘Stephen Hauschka made three field goals, including the game-winner from 30 yards with 14 seconds remaining. Earlier in the game, Hauschka tied an NFL record by making his 12th consecutive field goal of at least 50 yards.’
50-50 chances a sure thing for record-tying Hauschka
‘Hauschka has made five field goals of 50 yards or more this season. He had two each in Buffalo’s victories over the Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons.’
Thompson gives Bills much-needed target
‘”Crazy week, crazy week,” Thompson said. “They signed me Tuesday evening. I had to learn the offense and get ready for Sunday. Just a blessing though. I can’t thank God enough for this opportunity to come here.”‘
Bills’ Hauschka makes 12th straight FG of 50-plus yards
‘Hauschka’s 52-yard field goal gave the Bills a 20-13 lead over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers early in the fourth quarter. It was his fifth field goal of 50 yards or more this season. He made two each in Buffalo’s victories over the Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons.’
