5 things to watch as the Bills host the Raiders
‘Bunch of LeSean: LeSean McCoy rushed for 91 yards last week against Tampa. Not as important as his two touchdowns, the first two of his season. McCoy has said multiple times throughout his slow start that scoring and strong play usually comes in “bunches.” Oakland has the 19th-best rushing defense coming into the game, allowing 113.9 yards-per-game. Let’s see if Shady is right.’

Head coach Sean McDermott once again declared them both day-to-day and said their status for Sunday hasn’t been determined yet. Bills guard Richie Incognito also missed his second practice in a row with an ankle injury, but McDermott indicated it was more precautionary and that it was part of the plan for the week after Incognito suffered the injury during last week’s 30-27 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.’

‘For those who played with him he was the greatest player they had ever seen, and this was during the era in which Hall of Fame RB Jim Brown was dominating the NFL. He was a supernova of a player for the Buffalo Bills during the AFL years. For three spectacular seasons Cookie Gilchrist was an unstoppable force that no one could handle, not even Bills head coach Lou Saban. His exploits helped propel the Bills to their first AFL title in 1964. Now 53 years after he recorded the first 1,000-yard rushing season in AFL history, Gilchrist’s name will be added as the 31st member of the Bills Wall of Fame.’
