Joe B: Buffalo Bills All-22 Review vs. Carolina Panthers (9/19/17)
'Oh, what a game it was for Jerry Hughes. He’s back home in the defense that best suits him and he’s clearly having a lot of fun doing it. Coming into the game, it seemed like a huge opportunity against a poor left tackle for Hughes to dominate — and guess what? He did just that. Hughes came away with two sacks, but his game was so much more than that. He was sound against the run on the edge, he forced Cam Newton to hurry up his reads in the pocket multiple times, and he probably could have come away with four sacks against Carolina. The Panthers had no answer for him all game long.'

'Whaley told Business First he's not sure if he'll work for the NFL again, but he's "taking this fall to regroup."'
Familiarity with Poyer landed Bills a free agent steal
'“We evaluated him coming out and there was something special about Jordan,” Babich said. “Philly ended up drafting him. I was in the hotel before we were playing the Packers and we found out that Jordan got cut by Philly. The (pro scouting department) immediately asked us as a staff if we wanted him in Cleveland and we said, ‘Absolutely.’ So, that’s where it all started.”'

Bills mental toughness growing
'“It didn’t change the team,” said Tyrod Taylor. “That’s just our attitude. We were still in it. As many plays as we didn’t make on offense we were still in it and had a chance to win it at the end. The defense did a great job of getting us the ball back and keeping it a low scoring game. Some games are going to be like that. We just weren’t on the winning side of it.”'
Bills Today: Dennison’s days in Denver to help Bills defense
'“For sure with personnel. The scheme has probably changed a little bit from when he was there, but with their offensive personnel we’ll definitely sit down and talk throughout the week about how he liked to use those guys when he had them versus what they’re doing with them now. We’ll pick his brain for sure on personnel,” Frazier said.'

Sean McDermott on the the Bills' offensive struggles: I feel the frustration out there
'"I don't know that you can say it that way. That's a different statement," Dennison said when asked why the team is having such a tough time getting the ball to its wideouts. "We haven't completed as many balls to the wide receivers. You know, we're trying to get the ball, spread the ball around, do whatever we need to do to move the ball. We didn't execute very well early on – 57 minutes, as you said. We just didn't move the ball very well. It wasn't just the wide receivers."'
Bucky Gleason: McDermott makes right call to stay with Taylor … for now
'Two games into the season, fans are clamoring for Peterman after seeing enough of Taylor. Peterman could have been better Sunday than Taylor, who was 17 for 25 for 125 yards. He threw for just 74 yards before the last drive against the Panthers' loose defense. He failed to complete a pass longer than 15 yards in the game.'
