'Peterman entered the game and manufactured the first team offense’s first touchdown of the preseason, marching the Bills 80 yards in the final three minutes of the first half.'

'Facing third and long on their second series, Taylor spun away from an initial tackle from Terrell Suggs before being slammed to the ground by Kamalei Correa. Taylor’s head bounced off the turf and he was immediately tended to by trainers on the field.'

'Wood has started 104 games in his career with the Bills. He suffered a broken leg during in the team’s 31-25 loss to Seattle last year and missed the final seven games of the regular season.'

'The team confirmed the 27-year-old All-Pro was sent home for violating a team rule. The Bills did not specify what the infraction was.'

'“It was an unfortunate situation with Tyrod. I never want to see anybody go down, particularly with a head injury. But I liked the way we were able to handle the sudden change. Nate [Peterman" target="_blank"> was poised. All reports from the huddle were that he was very composed and handled himself well. The offense moved at times, and, at other times, we didn’t move well enough. We still have a lot of work to do in all three phases.”'

'Buffalo’s offense again had trouble putting positive plays together as their first six drives covered 23 plays for a total of just 14 net yards. The Ravens did come into the game with the best defense in the preseason, but with a rookie coming in at quarterback and the run game not getting much of a push it made things difficult.'

'Taylor was sacked on a 3rd-and-7 play from the Bills’ 22-yard line and his head was whipped backward into the turf.'

'“It’s very disappointing. Any player that you have to send home, this is not the norm. This is not what you’re looking for. Obviously, a guy with his contract status, you would hope that we would be a better leader than that and hopefully he learns from it and moves on and just be a Buffalo Bill.”'

'"He’s done a great job since he was drafted here in ’09," Beane said. "We think he’s still playing well. We think he’s a leader up front, not only on the O-Line but on the offense, and he’s a guy that we feel is part of what we’re doing going forward. He’s going into the last year of his deal so we wanted to get something done."'

'“Wherever they need me at,” said Dawkins. “Left tackle, right tackle, left guard or right guard it doesn’t matter. Wherever they need me, and think it will help the team win, is where I’ll play.”'

'The most urgent concern is at quarterback where Tyrod Taylor has been underwhelming in his first two starts, struggling with accuracy and timing. To date, Buffalo’s offensive starters have not scored a preseason touchdown … settling for a field goal in each game.'

'Can Tyrod Taylor put together a solid showing? We need to keep in mind that it's the preseason. Results don't matter. The Bills aren't game planning. That said … Taylor didn't look very good last week against the Eagles. His protection failed him, and when he did throw, he was picked off twice while completing just 8 of 18 passes. Clearly, the Bills aren't showing much of their offense, but what we have seen hasn't been promising. The starters, led by Taylor, need a solid performance to take some momentum into the regular season.'

'It’s no secret the Bills offense will go as far as running back LeSean McCoy can take it in 2017. But Taylor’s adjustment to the new system, his decision-making and his accuracy will make all the difference going forward. And tonight will be another opportunity for him to showcase the chemistry between him and his new crop of receivers.'

'But for Taylor, this third preseason game should carry a bit more weight than others in which he played the previous two years as the Bills' starting quarterback. After an ugly showing against the Philadelphia Eagles last week, Taylor must make amends. He can't have two stinkers in a row, especially with this being his last game until the Bills open the regular season Sept. 10 against the New York Jets. Taylor doesn't necessarily need to be great, but he can't be awful, especially with the Bills' starters are expected to remain in the game into the third quarter.'

'"Having the officials at practice is a big deal," defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier said. "That’s something that really kind of puts this on the players’ mind that it’s important to us beyond our just talking about it or penalizing guys in meetings or on the practice field about it. The fact that the officials are there and actually throwing the flags at practice kind of brings the point home that it’s not going to be tolerated.'
