'Buffalo has plenty of talent at running back with LeSean McCoy, Jonathan Williams, Mike Tolbert and others, but Jones could be viewed as an option to compete for the team's kick returner job. Buffalo has had Rashad Ross, Brandon Tate and Philly Brown have been handling kick returns early in training camp. In his career, Jones has returned 75 kicks for 1751 yards.'

'"We have a lease until 2023," Pegula said. "That's a contractual obligation. That's my stance on it. It's 2017. We have a long ways to go before we start thinking about anything other than where we're at now."'

'The injury occurred when Hyde made a diving interception on an errant Tyrod Taylor pass. He remained on the ground following the interception and was looked at by trainers before getting up and walking off the field under his own power. Hyde was clearly favoring his left leg when he was assisted to the trainer's room. Shamiel Gary replaced Hyde in the lineup following the injury.'

'"It's kind of at a stall is probably the best way I can put it," Beane said. "Anquan's at a time in his life where I think family is very important. That's what I've drawn from this. His family lives down in Florida. I'm not sure where he's at with that. We're giving him his time to do what he wants. He's gotta be all-in. That's the way we left it. If he's not then we'll let him make that decision when he's ready."'

'"The hot yoga was definitely something different," Clay said after a recent training camp practice. "It's something if you haven't tried I suggest you try. It's torture when you're doing it, but you feel tremendous when you're walking out. It's definitely something I'll continue to do to keep my muscles flexible and keep me strong without the wear and tear on your joints that we get all the time. It's definitely something I'll continue to do."'

'Buffalo Bills and Sabres owner Terry Pegula regularly attends training camp practices, but on Wednesday he spoke with the media. Pegula discussed both his teams: No updates on Jack Eichel, however, Pegula did say "We want Jack and Jack wants to be in Buffalo" and no updates on a new stadium. '“When I saw Coach McDermott land his first head coaching job, I thought it’d be a great opportunity to work with him,” Waufle said. “I always had great respect for him and his assistants when he was a coordinator for the Eagles and I was with the Giants. He had been in communication with me throughout his hiring process."'

'"If you put the pieces in the puzzle together, the respect, earn it, work hard diligence, be thorough, I think that's how you get into the playoffs," he said. "Hopefully, we can do that this year."'

'Jones becomes the seventh running back on the roster, if you include Mike Tolbert. He'll likely compete with Brandon Tate and Rashad Ross to be the teams' return specialist.'

'RB LeSean McCoy was back on the field after missing Tuesday with a stomach bug. OG Richie Incognito got a veteran’s day off. WR Brandon Tate (calf) returned in a limited capacity.'

'This year, it’s a different coach and Ragland has taken all second team reps since training camp started. Sean McDermott said, “There’s a plan for every player. Reggie’s, again, another second-year player coming off of the injury he came off of. Really, this is his first year. Acclimating him to practice tempo, he missed most of the spring, acclimating him to the system and putting him in position, like we try to do with all of our players, to have success; success early, and success in the long term. I like what he did the other day – the second day in pads. I saw a physical aspect of his game, an emotional aspect of his game that we need in our defense. A lot of work remains for all of us, including Reggie at this point.”'

'“Different days you’re watching different things," Beane said with Howard Simon and Jeremy White at training camp on Wednesday. "Sometimes I’m spending more time on the skills; sometimes I’m watching the guys up front. The first couple days in pads, I had not been able to see these guys up front hit all along. At least the skills in the spring, not a lot changes from watching receivers run routes, hands, and all the other variables there. But the big guys, you don’t get to see them hit. So I really wanted to watch how we are up front and I liked what I saw so far."'

'“It's fun, it's exciting," Jones said live with Howard Simon and Jeremy White from training camp on Wednesday morning. "A lot of emotions and it's just good to get back out there and play football again. At the same time, it’s challenging, difficult at some times and some points. So it’s just a lot of emotions going on."'

'Based on this move, it's pretty clear that the Buffalo Bills are not happy with the depth of their running backs, and needed another player to add into the mix for the fourth player kept on the 53-man roster — that is, if the Bills do keep a fourth past McCoy, Williams, and Tolbert.'

'“That’s what you need to win. You need to have respect. When teams come into Buffalo to play, they need to be talking about it on the way up saying ‘Oh gosh, we’ve got to go to Buffalo. Let’s hope we can get one out of here,’” he said. “I think that’s a part of any winner. People respect organizations and teams that win. That’s where we have to get. We have to earn the respect of the rest of the rest of the league, the Buffalo Bills have to.”'
